Plenty of words have been shared on EVIL DEAD II ever since its release. It’s the granddaddy of modern horror comedy, a perfect balance of genuine blood-chilling scares and Three Stooges-inspired pratfalls. Bruce Campbell gives a once-in-a-generation performance, fully committing to the absurdity. Sam Raimi’s innovative (and frankly, occasionally dangerous) direction must be seen to be believed. Add an all-timer cliffhanger ending and iconic creature effects, and it makes perfect sense why horror fans revere this film so much.
