A ragtag group of intergalactic peacekeepers led by the charismatic Captain Eo find themselves in hot water when they try reaching out to a malevolent alien queen.

A joint effort between George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola, starring Michael Jackson and Anjelica Huston, made to be a 17-minute 3D experience in Disney’s Epcot theme park. CAPTAIN EO features Jackson and a gaggle of Muppets overpowering evil with the power of dance. It’s one of the most 1980s things to ever exist. If it had been locked in a vault the last 40 years and released tomorrow, it would be difficult to convince people it wasn’t Ai. At the time, the attraction was the most expensive film ever made on a per-minute basis, costing approximately $1.8 million (in 1985 dollars) for every 60 seconds. It was one of the first “4D” films, utilizing in-theater effects to enhance the experience.

While Disney has never made CAPTAIN EO commercially available, it can be found on YouTube.

I was in elementary school when this released and saw it on a family trip. I still have the stuffed toy "fuzzball" (the flying monkey) on my shelf at home.

Depending on how much you still do, they're all over Ebay/Etsy. They're not cheap, but. If it was that childhood toy, you never got..
