I would'a liked Pete more... if I didn't know he was hosting dinner parties and attending events that slimy rich private interests people were at as well. Those kind of people NEVER give away favors, they exchange them.
I'm sure their clapping each other on the back at the wrap party, enjoying their expensive cocktails and insider trading tips while congratulating ole Pete on such a tepid burn it could be served in a baby bottle.
I love Pete and he was funny, but yeah, this is a hilarious and apt take. I do feel liberals are a bit milquetoast. We have a clown in the White House destroying the country. We need more than a gentle ribbing
Wrong side idiot. Do better. He's called mayo Pete for a reason and if he's the best we got then we're in deep shit (well, deeper shit). "Oh my, Pete said a mildly off color joke about Trump between cocktail parties with the hoi poloi! That will show maga we mean business." *does an interpretive dance*
While acknowledging the Dem coastal elite thing that’s done more harm than good, I kinda like mayor Pete. Lot of reasons to like him. I do wonder what he does the next 4 years to keep his viability alive.
He's a good communicator but definitely a pro-corporatist, centrist, dangerous product of McKinsey (one of the worst corporate consulting firms on the planet)
Don't let slick fool you, that's the same patina that gets people to support trump
He was historically bad at it though, you guys need to do better than this. Every time, someone objectively bad at something is suddenly rose colored glasses amazing a month after an election loss, you just forget everything.
What are you talking about? Specific points on what you think could have been better under Sec Pete? If you are talking about "could have done better" in the 2024 election? Then I point to you Putin spent billions of dollars, Musk spent 275 million and Musk is fucking with UK and Germany too. Also: I still believe Putin hacked the elections.
Pete ruled over a historic number of crises, crazy number of: air line shut downs, broken systems, train derailments, poison/toxin/evil shit spills, billions in stolen dollars from fliers, FAA outages etc. There was a LOT of them, it affect millions of people. Obviously he is not directly responsible for all of that, but he bear responsibility for how all of it was responded to, and means to stop it from happening again etc. It was world news headlines constantly.
“Airline shutdowns?” Like how weather kept disrupting flights? (Forgive him for not using Obama’s weather machine) Or how airlines overbooked flights? (Buttigieg went after airlines for doing so) Or are you talking about how planes were poorly maintained? (That’s not the fault of the Department of Transportation, the FAA does that.) “Train derailments?” What specifically did Buttigieg do wrong in East Palestine? Not go to photo ops early enough? Aid was being sent DAY ONE!
When I mentioned elections, I was talking about how each election cycle Americans forget literally everything about the previous admin. When Trump got elected, it was because people forgot how bad bush was, when Biden got elected people forgot how bad Trump was, when Trump gets elected again they forgot how bad Biden was. On and on every time.
My take: Putin didn't need to hack the election because they sent voting machine results via Musk's StarLink. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't manipulate that data as it got sent, to keep Trump just above the margin to win. But the voting machines don't keep the data that long, does it?
I hope they are not welcome in America, because from outside it sure does look they are very welcome and people are not telling them to fuck off, beating the crap out of them as much as they should…

I would vote for him if he ran for president. He seems to have grown and matured since his last attempt.

We were lucky to have Secretary Pete Buttigieg at the Department of Transportation for 4 years.

This post apparently got the attention of some MAGA bootlickers.

How so?

When this post first went up, there was a group of people downvoting it and the comments.

I’m guessing those posts were removed?

It was just people downvoting.

Why do you think they are on Imgur? Like what content are they here for? Imgur has to be the most far left social media platform

Watching my comment go negative lol. It’s like they don’t realize they aren’t welcome on Imgur. Or in America.

If it helps, they're not welcome outside America, either.
