The amount of people upvoting this who think this only cuts one way is the funniest part of this post doing well 😂 +1

Aww, they didn't include the rest of the quote: "...which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering."

That really should've been included considering the whole, attempt at starting a full scale genocide

I loved the old Dr. Who episodes 1963 - 1989 ... the new stuff, well ... hust take a look at viewership

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Sorry, this sounds like “did you see the terrible ratings?” Without for a second considering people consume media completely different in those comparative dates.

That chart shows number viewing on the same day as the episode aired. From 2003 onward, it became much easier to timeshift episodes, and today asynchronous viewing is the norm. So Doctor Who probably has a much bigger audience than it appears.

I really need to get around to watching the 4th Doctor. I got into Who with Eccleston and the reboot way back when that first aired, so I had never seen any of the original stuff (10 is "my Doctor", btw). I am familiar with Tom Baker, however. To me, he will always be Puddleglum...

I watched a lot of his run while I was in Jr. High and High School. He’ll always be the best one in my book, with David Tennant a very close second.

I started the same way as you and recently started watching the original stuff. Now at season 6 and I really recommend watching it, it's great. I love Patrick Troughton (second doctor) so much!

I remember some time recently after high school, I was burnt out on the current run of the show (a tthe time I reeeeally didn't like Matt Smith. I've come around to 11 eventually, but still find it... too Moffaty at times). Anyway, burnt out on the current run, so I tried the original series. I think I got through the first doctor, which was campy and fun, but I lost interest. Eventually I'll carve out time to watch it all.
