The Trump administration suggests Ukraine needs to give up territory and cannot become NATO.
This is an unacceptable outcome. We cannot let aggressors attack neighboring countries and claim it for their own.
We cannot allow countries to commit war crimes and not face the consequences.
We must stand by Ukraine now! And forever.

As a Brit, I agree completely, we either fight russia now or in 30 years when they are better armed is my view. Russia is a mafia state or as another Russian expert once said it is like being run by Samurai. There is no democracy in Russia only thugs.

Right now unfortunately return to pre-war borders is unrealistic. Russia will never negotiate that and Ukraine doesn't have the resources to push back currently. Latest reports from Estonian military intelligence suggests that Russia has been able to replenish their manpower and they estimate that Russia can keep up with that for at least two more years. Ukraine would need a lot more military support to break the stalemate, which doesn't seem likely, given current US and EU politics.

It's really unfortunate that US and EU politicians have been so timid at supporting Ukraine. The slow drip of aid was enough to stop the Russian advance and keep it stopped, but that isn't enough. We should have done so much more and we should have allowed Ukraine to use the full potential of the weapons they were given from the start.
