It's not just me, it is?
They keep blowing-up the Enterprise like a bad Lego game... I'm not even shocked any more. The reboot-Kirk is going through them faster than he changes underwear...

Regardless, that Constitution refit is still a stunning ship.
GandalfTheCrunk
As long as they get rid of that damned stupid gaping death trap in the middle of the ship that looks like a mall interior, I'm okay with it.
ParanoidWithGoodCause
not just in the new reboot. it hasn't fared very well in most of the movies
Jarjarthejedi
Just part of copying the old ones. First movie needs to be terrible and plot-holed, second needs Khan, third needs Enterprise blowing up.
Jarjarthejedi
(Unfortunately they forgot to make the second one good too. Whoops)
NunuvYabizness
ST:TNG "Cause and Effect"
WinterPalace86
That's a time loop tho, and it doesn't stick in the end.
TankEngineer
You're thinking of the Voyager. Janeway is excellent at killing her crew.
cryptothelea
And depleting all her torpedoes
StaticXster70
Best All-State accident forgiveness plan ever!
WinterPalace86
This is why I don't care for the new films, The enterprise gets fucking trashed every movie because Kirk is a garbage captain.
TankEngineer
Be rude to everyone and you'll get rewarded for it
sirrichardbottoms
The fuck is a red shirt
Eridianne
Watching Beyond in theaters and my response was just, 'oh, again?'.
modus0
We had 3 Enterprises explicitly destroyed in the original timeline, losing the NCC-1701 in the new timeline is par for the course.
cryptothelea
The 1701 in TWOK, 1701-A was mothballed but not destroyed in a mission. The Abramsverse 1701 survived until Beyond when -A was commissioned
MeanWinchester
I thought it got trashed in into darkness against the giant black ship. I may be misremembering though
modus0
Damaged but not destroyed.
modus0
1701 in Wrath of Khan, 1701-C in TNG "Yesterday's Enterprise", 1701-D in "Generations".
RayLynch
I'm not even bothering to see the new Star Trek movie because of the last one which was complete shit.
Jarjarthejedi
While I do agree that Into Darkness was terrible, Beyond is actually fairly good. Maybe check it out when it hits DVD?
GandalfTheCrunk
It's a step in the right direction in that they're pulling away from rehashing things to the point of blatantly ripping off previous stories
Alwaysupvotesdoggos
This pisses me off, it's supposed to be the most bad ass ship in the fleet and it gets swated like a fly. I want to see her fuck shit up!
arthurwolf
I hear ya! The Enterprise should be kickin' butt taking names and proving why The Federation should be Respected AND just a bit feared.
Blze001
She fucked up the Romulan ship at the end of the first reboot pretty good. That scene was awesome.
polkjameskpolk
If part of your business involves selling toys, models, and posters, there is a strong motivation to change the design from film to film.
cryptothelea
I haven't seen many toys from Trek. Models, sure
polkjameskpolk
There's also a very real desire by the art and production teams to put their own touch on the designs of everything. Blow it up to redesign
TheLethargarians
It is getting rather played out. Still, what an amazing movie, Beyond was.
cryptothelea
It was alright. Not fantastic. Entertaining but it could have been better
GandalfTheCrunk
It was a far better step in the right direction then Into Darkness was.
cryptothelea
i thoroughly enjoyed Into Darkness
Blze001
Eh, for me an entertaining Star Trek is still good. It never was a bastion of writing and storylines.
cryptothelea
Except DS9
Blze001
DS9 was amazing.
Species5618DesignationHuman
What's the hull number in the newest movie? There should have only been 6 total Starship Enterprises. Enterprise, NCC-1701 original, & A-E.
cryptothelea
Also forgot the 1701-J seen in an episode of Enterprise
modus0
You forgot the NX-01 Enterprise.
Species5618DesignationHuman
That's the one I was referring to with Enterprise, prior to the NCC-1701 registration. Also, I meant 7 instead of 6.
modus0
Ah, okay. What about the Space Shuttle Enterprise? Would that count?
cryptothelea
Doesn't count since it's pre-Federation.
modus0
It's still a Starship.
cryptothelea
Your moms a starship
