I would’ve assumed the question is more of “Are you an Australian resident (for tax purposes)?” So the answer would be yes?

yep, the form should have the brackets.. it would help me. otherwise.. 'no' i was born here.. i did not become a resident for tax purposes..

Where you were born is a separate question from where your legal residence is, of course. Is this a tax form for a tourist tax credit program? The have those in Europe.e
