Thinking about his final run in the theatrical movie. I don't know if it was a oversight, or intentional. Optimus does not command anyone to roll out.
He saw all the death around him, that if Megatron continued this path. There would be nothing for everyone. You realize every effort before this was him being the bigger person. He went to spare others from this and die with megatron.
