I passed out at 2am and have been working since 8am so I haven’t had time to fully clean the kitten room since mama gave birth, but I came in here to feed mama and the Fluffies lunch and I decided it was time to let the Fluffies out of jail. Mama knows them by now and isn’t stressed out by them anymore. She’s taking a little break from nursing for some belly rubs (her favorite), and the Fluffies are inspecting the blankets mama gave birth on. The kitten room is such a fun place to be right now!

Not trying to diminish how awesome OP is, but momma cats (when comfortable with their environment) are just all-around affectionate. They're chock full of hormones and love any time they can get with a human since they're usually sequestered with their litter. Sure you can build a good bond over that, but it's not their true personality on display.

I’m not gonna lie, the thought has crossed my mind :) We have been through a lot together and she has shown an enormous amount of trust in me. But I’ve got two cats, and one is special needs (she has sacrocaudal dysgenesis) so it’s probably not a responsible decision to keep Winter. But we shall see :) In any event, she is gonna be an AWESOME pet for someone!

Mama Winter went into labor and the older kittens were SUPER interested so I put them in jail so mama could give birth in peace :)

Aww thank you for checking in! I’m not gonna lie, it’s not looking good for two of the Winter kittens. They refuse to nurse or bottle feed, and haven’t gained any weight. I’m doing nutrical and fluids but I’m very concerned about them. The other two are doing great, and the Fluffy Kittens already have some people who want to adopt them! Winter is good, she’s doing everything right as a mama cat. I’m hesitant to post until I see improvement in her two runts…only time will tell

I have two cats. I thought I wanted 3 cats, but now I think I actually want 33 cats. I'd have to murder my husband first, get away with it, get insurance money, then get all the cats. I mean, I like my husband...but he's standing in the way of my dream of being rich and having many many cats.

Mine has weak genes and is allergic, so I am forced to have only one (1!) cat. (Who doesn't have a lot of dander, so she doesn't trigger his allergies)

Mine is a cat mutt... basically, a feral that I tamed after she was attacked (which is why she has only 1 ear)

I also am allergic to cat (plus household dust, the hops in beer, and chocolate: sux) but none of that stopped me getting my girl... a brilliant 14 years together.
