I'm always about new sound. Nearing fifty and I can appreciate the crispness of the new stuff - But Im big on Nostalgia so those old beats still feel as good - and even probably better than they did back in the day because of the memories attached. The new stuff could all be by the same artist, though. If this were all on one album I'd think it was the same guy/gal. Not that the music is bad - just very similar. But thank you OP for the reminders and the new music.

This meme is so old, some of the songs on that list are getting to be as old as the "old school" songs were when the new song came out. Opr came out in 2012. In 2012, Blue was 13 years old... its been 13 years since 2012.

I am 70++ years old and I downloaded every one of these songs! This kicks butt! Gonna burn to a CD, get in my 2002 Ford Exploder and ride around the country side without a care in the world. Thanks for putting this up with a the complete list! Wish someone would do a list of the comment post one.

I love Gesaffelstein. His music fell into my algorithm last year - I now have most of his music on my phone. Mania and Psycho are reminiscent of older music just driving a beat.

yeah, happy hardcore and family, the kind of mainstream techno of the late 90s, had like 160-180bpm...the modern stuff sounds like the drum n bass house mix in the chill out zone of the club where you go to take a break, lounge on a sofa and have a drink after exhausting yourself on the dancefloor...its not "bad" or so, its just slow, it doesnt pull you to jump up from your seat and storm the dancefloor...

Mick Gordon is so fucking talented. I don't have the words to express my feelings about them replacing him with fucking Finishing Move.
The Dark Ages looks like it'll play well, but I can confidently say the soundtrack won't even be close. An imitation that clearly falls short of the original.

To clarify: the only thing I've any experience with that Finishing Move did music for were the Halo remakes, games I go out of the way to listen to the original soundtracks for because the new music is so much worse. I was upset they replaced the old music at all, ESPECIALLY for halo 2
