These signs are all over the neighborhood, but they should probably update our mayor.

Also, quite a few of these, but they didn't seen to age as well.

Beautiful mix of our two flags.

Saint Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral

Saint Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral

??

A mix of US and Ukrainian flags were everywhere, but I liked this message.

Stand with Ukraine signs even adorned fire hydrants.

Pray for Ukraine street art.

Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral is beautiful with its old world charm. We were getting hungry and didn't linger here as long as we should have.

Putin Fuck Off was the general theme at a lot of locations.

Stand with Ukraine and Fuck Putin (and Trump)

Big John (Hancock) in the distance. It really was an incredible day, weather-wise. Rained the day before and the day after, but this day was a perfectly sunny and mild day.

Another street mural.

Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church

Another view. You couldn't walk 10 feet without seeing the Ukrainian colors on display.

In memory of Ukrainian Heros of of the Current War in Ukraine and the Victims of Malaysian Flight MH17. Memory Eternal. Dated July 2014.

Monument to Patriarch Josyf Slifyj.

Monument celebrating a Millenniumof Ukrainian Christianity 988 - 1988.

I love how Tryzub uses a wooden spoon, knives, forks and a plate to recreate the Ukrainian emblem.

We had a great day in Ukrainian VIllage, lunched at Shokolad Pastry & Cafe. I had perogis with Farmers Cheese in Cream and Scallian Sauce. Amazing and different. My wife had Beef Stroganoff as it was the daily special.

Street view of Skokolad

Finished the day with a flight at Midwest Coast Brewing at 2137 W. Walnut. Super dog-friendly place. Unfortunately, we left Zuzu at home. Always a next time.

Great outdoor drinking with games. Stock photo from their website as we didn't take any pictures here. All about the beer by this time of the day.

Beautiful interior as well. Again, stock photo. Great beers in a city with scores of great microbreweries.

That's it. Hope you enjoyed a look at one of Chicago's great neighborhoods.

Lived there for 30 years. Changed a lot in the past decade, but still a great neighborhood. Glad you had a good time.

I've lived in Chicago for over 50 years and have said that. Maybe it's only me.
