English as a language already dropped a lot of gendered language. Tor and Tress gendered suffixes for words like actor and actress have already been dropped for words like doctor or contractor or prosecutor or a myriad other similar words that are now no longer considered gendered words.
I'd be fascinated to learn how this would be attempted for languages where just about every word is gendered and changing the gender vastly changes the meaning.
