The smell of freedom!
oh, and what 650 ft-lbs of torque will do to tires.
The Challenger SRT Hellcat will also come with two key fobs – one red, one black. The former allows the driver to unleash the full 707 hp, while the black key limits its holder to just – just – 500 horsepower and an as-yet undisclosed amount of torque.
over 1400 horsepower in this picture
Clean
6.2L Supercharged Hellcat V8
Not a bad place to put your ass and eyes.
andthentheresthatguy
Bravado Gauntlet, anyone?
vonKaiser
Challenger looks more like a Charger then the charger does. That said I want one. Hemi Orange. 01 on the door...
TheWalkingDon
This is the version of the Challenger I like http://content6.flixster.com/question/52/59/29/5259296_std.jpg
wreckless7urtle
Its still fat. PPut that bitch on slim fast
NotAHydraAgent
For non-gearheads, 707 hp is insane for a muscle car. This makes the Hellcat the fadtest and most powerful muscle car in existence.
PerseusofPeregrin
So for Freedom day, every American gets a free one of these right OP? Riiight?? Plz?..
margaritaville
Still an american car, which means the quality feel will be like sitting inside a Happy Meal.
MikeofLA
They've apparently upgraded all the plastics and materials in the '15 Challengers, and the new Chargers interior is pretty nice for a rental
AsylumPilot
I'm looking at a charger. Very nice fit a and finish
SeanOfTheNotSoDead
Camaro SS 2010, I love it, you guys need to send me one because you are "FREE" to do so.
iamRedn3ck
and will still lose to the Cobra Jet
MikeofLA
Don't know man, 707 hp and 650 ftlbs of torque is a lot... Other thing, you can drive this on the street. CJ's not street legal.
jakafett
I thought you guys were talking about the 428CJ and was really confused when you said it wasn't street legal... Google explained all!
iamRedn3ck
well fine Shelby 1000 :P or Super Snake take your pick lol
Euin
Is this a brand new car or just a modification on the existing Challenger?
wreckless7urtle
Car coming out next year or so
MikeofLA
It's a hopped up, insane version of the Challenger that is currently out. They've made some tweaks across all versions to freshen it up.
Euin
So its still the ancient hyper crap suspension and drivetrain then
MikeofLA
Nope, drivetrain is completely different in this. I'm sure the suspension has been upgraded too. Keep in mind, this isn't a canyon car thou
Euin
Yea but still a solid axle. But yea I know what you mean, I do like the interior, which was a real bummer on the old one
MikeofLA
No solid axle... independent rear, has been since day 1 of the new version.
MikeofLA
Remember, it's based off the same platform as the 300 and Charger, which is a modified Mercedes E platform
DrPain702
*Made with a combination of German and Italian parts.
PerseusofPeregrin
You mean kinda like how America is the mixing pot of a large number of ethnicities?
DrPain702
Sup, downvoters who don't know the history or ownership of the Dodge brand?
MikeofLA
The total content of the Challenger is 70% domestic. The Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro are both 60% domestic.
DrPain702
Cool rationalization, Fiat owns a controlling stake in the brand.
MikeofLA
But, nice try there jaqoff... Also, I didn't make the number above up, they are easily found on your own.
MikeofLA
Fiat took ownership after the Challenger was already designed and on the market. So, they had no hand in its design, engineering or parts.
DrPain702
Look man, if you want a V8 500 pop that's cool, just don't tell me it's got anything to do with the old Mopar legends.
MikeofLA
The Challenger, is not a product of the Fiat relationship.
