I'd try that but I'm too busty eating nachos

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wish I got busty when eating nachos...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well you could put down the chips to do the trick, but I guess you're stuck with the large chest.

While flinging poo... Most impressive

I grew up when the first dirt tracks were made. Went to school with Haro, Jones and Osborn. It's amazing where the sport has gone.

I love that redbull actually sponsors crazy extreme shit like this you know? Supporting crazy assholes like this is awesome.

Anybody else totally nerding out over the magnificent Gothic architecture? That incredible cathedral has been in use for nearly 7 centuries.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why tho!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Brought to you by ESPN8 the ocho.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4 rotations in case anyone was curious like me. Well done!

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

And a cork means theres a flip in there too.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1440 would suggest 4 complete rotations.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yay maths!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the crowd goes mild.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would be nice to see it in slo mo!!

Good job, he did the thing!

Funny thing is he knows he pulled it off after all that spinning and wiggling through the air.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

I think he's just happy he landed it lol

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, I dunno how you'd NOT notice pulling off an insane move like that, that'd be taking apathy to some next-level places

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I think he means, he knows the exact number of times he spun, despite whipping around so fast that you can't really see.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get that, but you make one mistake on a guitar and it's very obvious, this is shit they've practiced a lot, a tiny change is incredibly1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

obvious on an instrument with just the slightest misplacement of a finger, think about how much more obvious it is on this scale 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As someone who knows nothing about this sport, how come he doesn't pedal? Wouldn't the extra speed be good? Or would it just be tiring?

9 years ago | Likes 227 Dislikes 11

I have learned so much about bike tricks and ramp speeds now. This is cool.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the ramp gives just the right amount of speed. too much speed and he would overshoot the landing and most likely crash (badly)

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 2

They make the ramp in mind so you don't need to. And when practicing insane crap like this, consistency is key

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Too much speed sometimes makes you overshoot the landing. They spend time practicing beforehand figuring out the speed needed to land smooth

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A consistent descent delivers a consistent velocity. Peddling introduces an inconsistent variable.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't think you could peddle as fast as the ramp would make you go in the same distance

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

Thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Also pedaling at that speed is very destabilizing. Everything that happens after the launch occurs because of weight shifts right at launch.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

As someone who does this (not 1440s but the jumps) usually it's made so that you get speed from the landings. It's like pumping on a swing

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He was attempting for 1440. If he successfully gain speed by Pedaling then he will probably get a 1530 or a 1620 thus missing his goal .

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

also, 1530 would probably be bad. 180n is good, 180n+90 is landing sideways.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"Dude I pulled off a sick 1530. Died though."

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Was the "tiring" thing supposed to be a joke?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Obviously

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I thought the whole question was a joke.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Ah. No. I wish I could claim that I did it on purpose, but I'm not that punny.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would need a large gear ratio to add any speed, the pedals are just footrests. Pedaling would be a waste of focus, energy, and accuracy.

9 years ago | Likes 258 Dislikes 2

Not to mention, it's basically impossible to keep your feet on the pedals while pedaling at that speed.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

A) How does someone practice this? B) Do you think he's already done the move many times in practice?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

German live commentator said he succeeded at this trick first time 1 day before, that's why he goes so crazyhappy after the jump.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You launch off a ramp into a large pit filled with foam blocks.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You fall over and over and over until you don't fall over anymore.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

One more thing: if you go too fast, you miss the landing ramp. For obvious reasons, you don't want to do that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Source: I'm just assuming. I'm ignorant beyond the point of knowing that pedaling doesn't always add speed.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Your correct at that speed you can't keep up with the ratchet and wouldn't gain any speed.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's what I figured. The logic part of me knows there's a limit to acceleration. The kid in me thinks, "Pedal more = more speed!"

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

MORE SPEEEEEEEEEED

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

And yet you are the only one that answered correctly.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, you! I'm blushing.
