I don't get why people are so against the selfie-sticks. Hate the people who use them irresponsibly, but to hate the object itself?

Like Smartphones. I love them, but I hate people constantly looking at them in traffic. So I have to dodge them and they dont even notice.

Smartphones themselves are fantastic devices. And as you point out, people get too absorbed by them. We should criticize people, not devices
