Can you share the STLs for the staff topper?

I'd use a proper stir bar. They're cheap and they're not going to rust up on you. https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Stirrer-Mixer-Bar%EF%BC%8C6Pcs-Laboratory/dp/B0D41R1PVG/

great way to use the concept of a magnetic stirrer. I only have seen them in Laboratories. But I had to get one years back just because.

now I might have a use for it.

Ok, that’s ridiculously cool, and didn’t realise that such a purpose built tool would be so easily available commercially.

You’re a gent.

Magnetic stirrers are very useful in chemistry labs.

I believe it! Just didn’t realise it was a thing.

If you use isopropyl for this make sure you remember that with any sort of leak this thing becomes an extreme fire hazard lol It might also creep between the glue and the plastic over time. Also alcohol boils at 60C so make sure you hold your staff under hot studio/stage lights at a con or direct sunlight so you can cast surprise fireball at least once in your life when it self destructs from internal pressure due to heating.

IPO has boiling point of 82.4 °C and auto ignition 456°C. So it will deff not going to flashbomb on window sill.
We use isorpop on regular basis and I usually buy it couple of hundred litres by your definition my office should have been dead and burned dozens of times.
Yes IPO burns but it's not nitroglycerin form the movies that every little bump makes if go off.

People really overestimate how flammable things actually are. Example being I carry lighter fluid and some people act like I am carrying a bomb when they find out. The whole point of lighter fluid is it takes enough effort to light that it's safe to carry. it won't just all explode at once. This goes double for IPO. Everyone thinks flammable they think of what gasoline does. Which when ignited, does all burn at once. But even gasoline is less flammable than people imagine.

You can put a cigarette out by dipping it in gasoline

Yea I was wrong, its actually 78C. But it's not about the alcohol spontaneously combusting, it's about the vapor finding an ignition source and going whoosh. Alcohol burns hot and with a very poorly visible flame. And the warmer it is the more fumes will come from it, and yes it CAN create an explosive mixture.

Well if your home has no ventilation, has open flame everywhere and is extremely hot, then indeed you should be very worried.

Odor threshold: Humans can detect the sharp, musty smell of isopropanol at very low levels—around 22 parts per million (ppm), or 0.0022%.

Lowest ignitable level of isopropanol-air mixtureis 2%. So you are going to smell the vapor. It will not ignite under 2% its just too lean to ignite.

Also, watering it down will definitely make it even less hazardous.

Couldn't one simply add a small amount of bleach or salt to inhibit bacterial growth? (I mean aside from say lactobacillus but it's not exactly like glitter + water provides much growth medium.)

It'll turn itself into ~70% just with exposure to air over time.

You call it IPO for IsoPropanOl? I find that fun, cuz we call it IPA, for IsoPropyl Alcohol. What's your field?

Yes, you are correct, did a typo.
