The problem i see is this:

Sure i get it, you had a horrible event happen to you. I agree on that. However this is a graduation ceremony. A private event where more than just yourself are in attendance. It is not the place for your "Art".
Other families are in attendance. Trying to enjoy and celebrate their loved ones achievement.
TL;DR: Graduation ceremony isn't the place for your political protest.

I would agree if this was art for the sake of art. Saying that certain places are not appropriate for a protest defeats the point of one.
