Been stuck in a rut for a few years in a job that I don't like, working with people who make me miserable. Haven't had a raise in over 5 years. Applied for a new position last week, got a response within a few hours asking for an interview. Interview went great! They said my experience sounds like it would be ideal for the company and they scheduled a follow-up right away.

I got a job offer like that once. Make sure it’s in writing before you quit. They changed the parameter requirements with offertory letter.

I went back to school as a 30 year old. My advice: make sure your degree is worth the cost of your education. Mine was not.

Is asking salary always done “per hour” in the US? In the UK we just say what we want annually.

Always ask for what you want, within reason. Youd be surprised they only bargain you down a little. You make 60 now, ask for 75, may get 70
