I agree with you that it's easy to get misinformation when you're trying to verify something, and you can end up spreading it even with the right intentions. I've done that here on a comment or two. I left the comment up and replied asking people to downvote it. I explained i was wrong and linked the reasons why. That was a comment. a post is an active influence and choosing to spread a lie. People will believe and share this. People who vote. This is harmless, misinformation isn't. Call it out
