I've never actually gotten around to watching this movie. I read a "choose-your-own-adventure" book for The Black Hole as a kid and i had no idea it was an actual film until I was well into adulthood. Now, I don't know if I even want to see it... I'm not sure it could live up to how much fun I had with the book
Loved the shit out of this preposterous movie when I was but a wee podling. Still do, but damn the ending is some serious "drop acid and try to be Kubrick" levels of weird shit.
I only recently learned that they hired sci-fi legend Harlan Ellison for script rewrites and he managed to get himself fired by Noon on his very first day for pitching porn versions of their animated properties in the lunchroom. We'll never know what the world was denied by his inability to read the room (or at least making sure that the CEO isn't at the neighboring table).

Honestly, it has a lot of plot holes so try not to break your neck falling into them. For its time, it was quick the horror flick.
