#9 You can mark them all as read smh. Also it's possible that much of them are from a small handful of newsletter things. Just unsubscribe from all of them so you stop getting them.

Pet food is prepared with the same regulations as people food.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Is this true? I remember an NPR episode about 20 years ago that said their food contained more carcinogens.

#43 Probably the deepest thought I ever had in a strip club was I decided I should eat more tacos and drink more beer. I mean in the future, not just on that day.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Did the post reference numbers get messed up somehow?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Chillin' in this strip club a little after noon on a Tuesday. And I'm watching this performer, Morgana on the pole and I become actually aware of every mistake, misdeed and fundamental flaw that is currently running my life. Then I decided it was too late to do anything about it, got a bourbon double and a lap dance and called it a day.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wonder if we use Boomer centric media that they grew up with to make memes at them and their alliances it would irritate them more causing more reactive and emotional behaviors disturbing their peace.

it is 2026. dog was euthanized at 13. that means it was a newborn dog in 2003. there is no way that is correct. wishbone was on TV when i was in elementary school. there is no way pokemon: master quest was airing at the same time as that dog

#38 The thumb series of short movies is done by the same guy who did Kung Pow! Enter the Fist. https://media1.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1dHNvNmJuM2ZvbWpuMDJ4aHhjbGIxb3MwamRxMnplNmxucTRhOGZsYiZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/Ac0BuZR3h5euY/200w.webp

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#8 That's the packaging's fault. If it's for dogs, it needs a fuckin picture of a dog on it, and not just some tiny text somewhere. I think they're actually trying to trick people at this point.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Lol no, this is only sold in either pet stores or in the pet aisle in the US. Kong is an incredibly popular brand of dog chew toys, it also says "extends playtime" on the label and shows the cheese being squirted into a Kong toy.

That being said, plenty of dog food is edible for people. Not necessarily advised because they can use ingredients below human-grade standards.... but the "oreo cookie" dog treats in Petco's treat bar are fire.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It does have a picture of somebody filling a dog toy with it.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They probably are. What a specifically makes it for dogs and not people? Made with crushed fish bones?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Kong Easy Treat has less fat, less salt, and less or no preservatives than Cheez Whiz. It's actually healthier, bwahahahaha!

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

which makes me want to point out the second half of this reply /gallery/uHVzYbA/comment/2504706443 though I imagine it's safe for humans, I do wonder if it's all 'human-grade' (though, I would like our dog food to be up to the same standard so that shouldn't matter)

But it seems having an odd number of problems *is* a problem, so wouldn't that raise it to 100, then drop it to 99 for being solved...

#9 my work email i keep at 0, but my personal email? 6000+ unread. because it isn't worth my time to manage/open/delete every receipt or payment confirmation or delivery notification etc.

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I mean, I basically just did 'mark all as read' once, and now I can scan it once a week to see if there's anything I care about and then just mark as read all the rest. If you're not going to open them ever, might as well mark them read so you can tell if new ones com in.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have thunderbird automatically delete the typical receipt/confirmation/etc emails after a month unless I manually archive them, and all "important" receipts get automatically dumped into a folder after a couple weeks. I figure I'm either at my PC and immediately handle it, it pings my phone and it's urgent (and I handle it there), or it can wait until something is actually needed.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ctrl+A, Delete
If it's important, they'll e-mail you again.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a folder in Outlook full of automated messages from a client's estimation system. It got up to 32k unread emails before IT called me out on it.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have one of these too. "Did you see the updates from JIRA?" No, no I did not because I get at least 2 dozen automated JIRA emails every day so now they get automatically filed away into a folder I never look at. If they want me to know something, I'll read it in an actual email from a human.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont do it for Jira, because its only an issue every couple weeks. but we used to use RTC, and it would send periodic reminders, not jut when something changed. that folder had hundreds of unread messages, and the only reason it wasnt thousands is because id occasionally right click -> mark all as read.

Ah yes, we could relive the great plague of Justinian the Not Quite As Elder But Still More Elder Than Younger where most people's genitals burst into shrapnel and hornets flew out of everyone's anus was an awful moment in history and probably our next thursday weather

#11 normalize bullying co-workers you didn't like for their AI usage.

1 month ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 5

I have coteachers who criticize other teachers at the school for having chatgpt write emails to parents.
They used chatgpt to confirm the teachers did it. And use chatgpt to research what to teach.
🙃

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Have fun doing that from the unemployment line because you wanted to take a stand rather than adapt to new technology 🤣

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 32

Thanks, I will. Because I will still have my soul, as will everyone else in this line. We'll meet like-minded people and make a company or cooperation together.

1 month ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

Awesome. Love it. Good luck competing in the marketplace with your hammer and your chisel while the rest of us are operating multiple excavators simultaneously ✌️

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 26

You won't, though. The AI machines are already doing that. Have fun making yourself obsolete by outsourcing all your marketable skills to the anuslogo companies and only being useful as a mark on a firing agent's savings sheet, which is an AI btw and doesnt know or care about you. See you in the unemployment line. Asshole.

1 month ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 3

Lmao this chud thinks a machine can replace actual human intelligence 🤣🤣🤣🤣 too funny thank you man

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 22

im hazing my colleague for the actual fire farting cat caused in my lab. because he trusted it with an electrical engineering decision

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why stop at their AI usage?

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I asked a co-worker to look up a part spec for something. He apparently wasn't able to find it immediately because I get hit with an e-mail that starts "I don't know how you feel about Claude, but-" which was apparently all the motivation *I* needed to look the damn thing up myself.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Doing something on your own hook is hard sometimes, but proving someone wrong is a much more powerful motivation.

"Demonstrate how I have used GenAI to improve my productivity" is literally on my performance goals for our annual review.

1 month ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

" use a calculator" is on my performance review which is crazy because I have a perfectly good set of fingers.

Yeah that's what you sound like.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 65

Begone cogsucker.

1 month ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I used GenAI to get an answer, it gave me the wrong answer, so I know how to better spot bad GenAI answers and as such, I have increased my productivity in using GenAI better.

1 month ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I kept informed on current AI trends and decided not to use it based on evidence of incorrect answers and inherited bias, therefore improving productivity by not having to correct everything AI screwed up.

4 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Disgusting. You were hired because you have real intelligence. Now, you're being graded on how you've used artificial intelligence.

1 month ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

yeah, that's why that "use a calculator" comment is so dumb.
