If you want to see the same exact thing except it was made by a raccoon you can look in my shed. Roughly the same amount of tools but compressed into 1% of the space.
Is woodworker who has a bunch of tools like these my fro is one of my most favorite of them. One of the few things I inherited from my father that I liked one of the things I don't like is my short temper. You can use it for splitting shingles making boards or in a process called riving wood down to a smaller size
There's a place that's like a tiny version of this place called "Grey Matter" in Santa Fe NM. The owner is awesome and loves old tools. And to boot, the prices there are pretty reasonable.
The.modt expensive plane I own is by Holtey. I have another collectible which is a left hand angle one made by Lee Valley Tools out of stainless about a decade ago
Rex there is a pretty great educator for hand tool woodworking. He isn't talking much because the dude loves vintage woodworking tools. Rex Krueger on YouTube.
I like Rex, but sometimes his presentation rubs me the wrong way. He has a tendency to call things he doesn't like "incredibly stupid" when it isn't stupid, just maybe unnecessary.
Poopoopeepeevagina
But are they soaked in wood?
Aranon1183
I was baffled by him saying "planes", when they looked like gun stocks. Then it clicked when he said "saws". Lol

Are all planers different? Like each hammer has a character. Unless youre at the store then they're all the same
FinancialRavioli
There are many sizes, length is the important variable, each has their specialty job.

That's what she said

I'd be bankrupt in 10 minutes in a place like that.

That looks expensive. Each good hand plane or set of chisels can be multiple hundreds of dollars.
