Meet Alice, the “haunted” doll.

She is my new favorite doll in my collection. I only plan to repair the damage so that it does not continue to deteriorate. Her cellulose eyes have shattered but the sleep eyes mechanism still works.

This is how I found her. She’s only been home for a few days so I haven’t had time to find out if she’s really haunted. Although one thing did happen that I’ve posted below.

She is a Horsman Bright Star 21” “Judy” doll c1942. I have renamed her Alice and will be making her a little white rabbit stuffy as a friend.

I sat her in the chair and her eyes were stuck in the closed position. I turned away to get my phone and her eyes opened. Needless to say I was a little startled. Not sure if that counts but I’ll keep you posted. I have another “haunted” doll in my collection I’ve named Lady Buttons. I’ll post on her later if your interested.
