I'd probably die if I had to explain why you should soak your logs in wood.

So, my therapist asked me the most uncomfortable question to date.
More unnerving than "Why don't you have a girlfriend?"
More disquieting than "Do you love yourself?"
Even worse than "What do you do for fun?"

"What makes you laugh?"

And I'm supposed to jot down examples to share.

Got off to an uncomfortable start last session, trying to explain the absurd, ironic, punny, random, quickly out of vogue, and often off-colour humour-roulette I've been conditioned to find funny after spending my early teens through early adulthood consuming (admittedly far too much of) this stuff.

How do I explain two decades of internet culture?
How do I explain a sense of humour that's based on references to references to references to approximate knowledge of many things? Inside jokes all the way down.
It's not like my sense of humour is sick or anything, just... I can't even think of how to express it to someone who's not in the know without cringing into oblivion.

Should I just say I like funny cat videos? Funny edits of movie clips? Comics?
How much am I overthinking this?
And no, Paige won't be mentioned.
