What's amazing about this is that you don't get banned from the UK for criticizing the UK, you get banned for criticizing Israel. Israel has a right to commit genocide, and you don't even have a right to voice your disapproval of it.

This comes in the wake of Hasan Piker getting subpoenaed by the Trump administration for having taken a trip to Cuba where him and several other activists brought aid and supplies to the US-blockaded island. No laws were broken, but revealing to the public the violence of the US Empire is a sin that the US government will investigate.
A message for those voting in the midterm elections in the US. Don't let the horrors in Palestine continue, vote for people who will actually fight back. If your chosen representative can't have a stance on Palestine, they will not have a stance when you get Trump's Gestapo at your door either.

The thing is that neither of those people with none or positive view on Israel will protect your rights. If the state encroaches on your liberties, they won't defend them; if cops jail your for wrongthink, they won't come to your rescue.

To be a little less hyperbolic, Hasan wasn't banned, his ETA was revoked which is a semi-automated preclearance some countries can do instead of a visa. It's not a visa.
In fact the email Hasan got specific said he's free to apply for a visa. He read it on stream while apparently not comprehending the words cause he kept saying his visa was revoked.
It's still shitty they revoked it on such short notice, making it impossible to meet his event schedule but he's not banned or blocked (yet).

You're unduly diminishing it by calling it hyperbolic. I just saw a clip of Hasan Piker reading out the email and he's not exaggerating when he says banned, it's just common parlance. "Aktchually, he is merely temporarily banned." Fine, he is. None of this takes away the fact that he's only in this situation for his criticism of Israel.
