I apologize that I had to show his face

This is a great legal win and makes me feel safer. The slimy coward doesn't know when to quit though, and refuses to drop it.
Republicans refuse even the smallest limitations on firearms and shouldn't be surprised or cry foul when this happens!

texas

political_shit

But mah freedoms!

Should have a bunch of people show up to his office all wearing their guns. When he gets all uppity about it remind him Texas State law supercedes whatever local law he thinks should be enforced.

Im canadian so please excuse my ignorance, but its my understanding that private organizations/events can set their own rules for allowing/disallowing guns on their property?

Ie 2nd amendment only stops government interference?

Happy to be corrected though

All of these psychotic gun loving wannabe cowboys. They want the Wild West. Except most towns in the real Wild West had everyone surrender their firearms before being allowed in.

They ruined his plans of faking an assassination attempt at the state fair!

Trump rallies in Texas banned guns, Paxton didn't object to that,

How does his challenge jump those of others. He is a total kunt !

"The government shouldn't control what people do!" - "Okay but us private citizens have made our own decision." - "YOU MADE THE WRONG ONE! GOVERNMENT, CONTROL WHAT THE PEOPLE ARE DOING!"

Dude is a legit psychopath.

He really, truly is. His actions make it clear that he is pro-mass shootings and pro-maternal mortality. A judge laid out some actual definitions regarding what might constitute "exceptions for the life and health of the mother," and he is appealing it. He wants the law to be vague, and the only reasoning for this I can come up with is he wants to kill people, but, you know, legally.

sadly I reside in TX but I hate this douchebag. And Abott and Cruz.

So, he wants people to be picked off by a psycho riding the Ferris wheel?

"It's illegal to defy the laws of the greater governmental entity", says the AG for the state that regularly threatens to secede from the US.

You never know when shit's gonna pop off at the cotton candy stand!

They should make him perform his 100 hours of community service for fraud picking up trash around the fairgrounds.

Lol. Eat all the shit, Ken.

He wanted drunk Texans to have easy access to guns with thousands of kids around?

If you live there vote blue. If you don't you can contribute to campaigns seeking to unseat some of them Colin Allred is running against Ted the Trator Cruz right now. You can mail him a check or give through act blue. And Ken Paxton and Gregg Abbot will both be up for reelection at some point. Contribute to the Dems running against them.

Dear Texas: It's 2024 not 1850. You don't need to go around with six guns on your hip. The wild west days are done.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would you need guns at a state fair?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I for one am happy to visit the state fair with a slightly less chance of being shot

Hey Texans, imagine if this guy spent this amount of energy and focus on protecting your school children. You could almost relax a little bit the next time you get a text or call from them during a school day.

Aww... Is poor widdle Ken "Felon" Paxton mad because Dallas won't allow people to shoot each other at the State Fair? Boo-fucking-hoo.

Fucking snowflake.

Why the hell do you need a gun at the State Fair?!? Are you going to shoot someone’s prized bull? Shoot the Ferris wheel operator? The vendor whose cotton candy was too small for your liking? Fuckin’ psycho

Manitoba?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I just know a bunch of people are gonna try to smuggle guns in just to make a point =_=

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

Well hopefully they will be dumb enough to post it on socials, and get caught

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like they just want to have the state fair cancelled permanently then.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't be surprised if some unhinged lunatic tries to shoot up the place because "if guns were allowed someone would have stopped them".

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That's my angle. He's the AG he would know the situation upside down and inside out. It's posturing.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The State Fair of Texas is owned and operated by a private non-profit entity, so they can absolutely ban guns with the exception of law enforcement if they so choose. Paxton can piss up a rope.

Paxton's argument is that it's government-owned land and therefore you can't have gun bans there.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 24

Yeah, it means then someone in his office can legally carry a gun when they're in the same building as him.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So... courthouses and the governors mansion allow people to bring guns?

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I did not intend to imply that his argument made the slightest lick of sense, but I'll take the downvotes as a marker for how much bullshit the argument is.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You cannot take a gun on Any government property.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah, we know his argument is bad-faith bullshit.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Are people allowed guns in his government-owned office? I'm betting not.

Oh, that shut him up. :P
