YA, FUCKER, SPEED UP!!!!!!!!!!

It's a reflex. It's not really deliberate.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Think some feel that as long as they're going nice & slow by the time they reach the cop they're okay, not understanding how it really works

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I signal, pull over, and stop the car.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You doint want to hit the brakes, because sometimes they use that as evidence when they write the ticket. "He knew he was speeding". 2/

Ex-girlfriend interned at the local D.A.'s office for a year.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you don't wrong the law this shouldn't be a natural reaction, it also draws attention to you even if you were following the speed limit

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not really. I always feel like I'm carrying a bag of heroine when a cop is near.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Most people are horrible at driving. This will never change.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What I don't get, is people that slow down after being caught by stationary speed traps.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2) I mean you're already getting fined may as well speed all you want and get the entertainment you paid for.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Nevada they passed a law where you can get a ticket for driving too slow on the freeway.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Safety first... right?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People who mash the brakes think their reflexes are faster than light

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, do people not know that it's possible to get a ticket for going too far BELOW the speed limit, too? I don't think they know.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But what if you see a cop shooting?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I swear to god every driver where I'm from does this when a speed camera comes on a 80 km/h zone while going 80 km/h.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's like everyone thinks the cop will say "oh hey a person going 25 under, better give them this good Samaritan award"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unless you gotta go fast.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, if you were speeding, it's too late.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better yet, why yall slowing at a cop who pulled someone over, this is your best time to get away with little shit

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What if I'm doin a casual 112 in a 35?

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Just keep going, no cop in their right mind will try to catch you.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't some one going that fast has places to be!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or when the cop has someone pulled over on the highway and people in the passing lane need to mash the brakes so they dont get pulled over

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Its cool foolio they arent going to ask that chap to wait while they chase after you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You do if you are in Victoria, (Australia not Canada), they'll ticket you for going over within the error margin of your speedometer.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah jam that accelerator and stop being a little bitch

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I say fuck it, if he's gonna get me, he already decided it before I saw him. Stay the course. They never do but I'm only a 5 over driver.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I went over 7mph once while trying to pass a cellphone driver... Then I got a speeding ticket. It was bullshit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I put my car and my life on cruise control, no fucks given

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Your car has floorboards?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Classy af.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pro tip: ease on that shit. If the cop sees a plunging front-end under heavy braking, now they're focused on you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, even if you're speeding. They already see you and it's too late. Braking admits guilt

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

They usually see you before you see them.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep. Those guns don't need full line of sight.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is this true? I've never heard of that before...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's not law, just a logical conclusion. Why brake unless you think you're speeding?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. Speeding admits guilt. They have to have your speed recorded to ticket you otherwise you can contest it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

By the time you hit your brakes they've recorded your speed. Braking says I know what I was doing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alright, well that makes sense. Not sure why I was downvoted for having a serious question tho...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These topics trigger the shit out of people. Even worse than politics many times.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm black, it is a habit

9 years ago | Likes 398 Dislikes 24

You mean survival

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Black!? Arrest this man!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So you don't end up with 30 warning shots in your back for fleeing the scene?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

Said the nun wearing a hat.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too late, you've already been shot...by radar

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'm in an AW11, it's like being black only the cops let me go afterwards with warnings

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they aren't going to hurt a nun

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This made me laugh.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

More like survival instinct these days.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 7

Its pretty simple. Keep your hands out of your pockets and comply and you won't get shot. Some people don't understand this.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 48

Maybe trigger happy police needs some training...

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

You are so dumb. You are REALLY dumb.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

Really? Fuck America is gloomy, Australian police officers are great!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

There was that one guy in Qld last year. That was a bit rough.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What happened? D: all I've heard is accidental shootings with the police

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So all the examples of this not being the case are outliers? It's just happenstance unarmed black people get killed more?

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Erm evidence proves otherwise

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You forgot to add don't be black in your list of instructions

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Apparently racism is a requirement for all police officers.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Depends on where you live. There are cities where the police force target minoriies, there are places that dont

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Was a passenger as a friend got pulled over for doing 36 in a 35. They were "warning" ppl.

9 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 5

No.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

I got pulled over on a moped for doing 27...asked me why I was speeding, I pointed to the really steep hill that I was about to start going

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

"Does your moped have brakes? Do they work?" Are those the questions he asked you?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

I think hippybobby was implying he needed to gain speed to go up a steep hill.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Wtf? Normal speedometers are inaccurate by around 10% anyway

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I'm pretty sure it's because he's not pasty-white like I am.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's them looking for other issues. I.e. inebriated drivers, drugs, illegal shit.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Get their foot in the door so they can shove it up your ass later

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I once got a $100 ticket for doing 36 in a 35. Small town, cops were (and probably still are) notorious dickbags.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

75 dollar ticket here for backing out of a driveway. "Improper backing" whatever that means.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That probably means you went 40, with correction thats about 36, which is over the limit. Dickmove, sure, but illegal is illegal

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Small town cop pulled me over for speeding. Gave a warning because he didn't actually have a radar gun.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it's even better when people slow down for a cop that's already pulled someone over.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

That's actually the law in most states. It's purpose is to lower the risk of an officer getting hit by a car.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

In NY, you have to move one lane over for any emergency vehicle.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except there's a whole other side of the car he can stand on. That's what they do in Ohio.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 9

Yeah, the passenger's side is a terrible idea though. It's far easier and safer (weapons) to conduct the stop on the driver's side.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's much safer than getting hit by a car.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Actually almost every state teaches a passenger side approach now. My FTOs would threaten to taze me if I went drivers side approach.
