Trump on Greenland:

No nation or group of nations is in a position to secure Greenland other than the United States.

We are a great power—much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out two weeks ago in Venezuela.

We saw this in World War II, when Denmark fell to Germany after just six hours of fighting and was totally unable to defend either itself or Greenland.

At that point, the United States was compelled to act. We felt an obligation to do so—to send our own forces to hold Greenland.

It's interesting to see people get upset at this because this has literally been both Greenland and the US' position on securing Greenland since 1949. It's why there's a US military base there.

What a fucking embarrassment to the American people to see this idiot prove how utterly stupid he is in front of world leaders. He has no idea what he's talking about. And his comment "Canada only exists because we allow it"?? The war of 1812 is why Canada still exists you moron. You lot already tried to take Canada and failed, horrendously.

Historically, the US isn't really the most successful invader, ahem, "liberator" the world has had to put up with. I'm wondering how soon we'll get our dumb asses kicked in the jungles of Venezuela, while simultaneously being picked off by snipers on the Greenland Ice sheet. Yeehaw, and all that.
