I usually shoot in sandals. Casings tend to hit my forehead after bouncing off the divider. Haven't had one on my toes yet.

But... they don't really get that hot. I've been burned worse from the metal piece of a Bic lighter.

I never said they can't get hot enough to burn, I merely have an insanely high pain tolerance for burns. So it doesn't seem that hot to me.
