I really like this one. Because it's just ambiguous enough for people to actually believe it's from Reagan. A lot of the other quotes people are posting even MAGA will discover pretty quickly. This one, they will likely repeat and internalize for quite a while before someone actually checks if it's real.

Terrible. Yeah, they shouldn't have that happen to them. But if you're trying to compare the human rights tortures to what the US and Israel are doing is a big yawn. But why are you comparing a country that is an emerging nation to a "fully developed" one like the US or Israel? I would love for Vietnam to be a fully developed nation, but it's not in the cards at this point. Wonder why? I'm not ignoring Vietnam, but to conflate an emerging nation to a fully developed one is laughable.

They're an emerging country. If you want to compare it to post Civil War US, I can do that too. The people of Vietnam are much more "Free" than during post WWII. Cause guess, what? They were fucking slaves. Vietnam still has a lot to learn, but to compare them to brutality of the US is a false equivalence, because they're both different nations in the timeline. The youngest baby boomers were 16 then. Reagan forced us to register for the draft, eliminated student college grants and prevented minimum wage increases.
