So I saw this...

...and it made me remember this.

"If you have kids." Psssshhh...I scoff at your supposed age restrictions. Ageist bastards....trying to keep me from bubblin'

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

doesn't work. I've tried it. And don't get that shit in your mouth. Tastes horrible.

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If you try this, you'll realize how impossible it is to get real glowing bubbles

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

UFO sighting at 11.

13 years ago | Likes 498 Dislikes 0

Never mind, it was a hoax. The kid was not found in the object.

This is going to be a good summer.

Hate to "burst your bubble" but the glow stick thing doesn't really work. :( I've tried.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OMG YES!

Suddenly, this http://static4.businessinsider.com/image/50b9309a69bedd543700004a-300/one-direction-bubble-gif.jpg

Man, I want a zorb ball.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a "giant fun ball" its a poor substitute.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

:(

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesn't work! :( The glow in the dark fluid is too diluted to make it discernible.

13 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Then add more.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Un-poppable eh? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6Ffr1U7KMY

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What did I just watch?

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't do this. Glow stick is very very bad for your eyes.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

the glow sticks sound like 100 percent cancer

13 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 3

Not when the two chemicals are mixed. Separately they are a bit toxic, but the end product is relatively harmless :)

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think you get more radiation from sleeping next to someone when in a brick house than you do from glow stick fluid.

13 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

or maybe from eating a dozen bananas.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not any more, they used to be, but that was near the beginning

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was that when people poured them in drinks and smeared them on their faces and all that?

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Possibly, I'm not really sure when people smeared glow drinks on their faces...

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The activator in glow sticks is plain old hydrogen peroxide like you can get from the drug store.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I tested out the glow in the dark bubbles....ALL LIES. Bubbles would no longer form at all. My inner child cried a little.

13 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

First tesla now this guy, don't lose your faith in science!

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

LOVED IT, until I read all of the more importanter warnings!

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know what I'm doing this summer!

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 is the toxic version - use non toxic glow in the dark paint, same effect, wont poison you if somehow ingest them

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

unless you're flat out drinking the shit, you're not going to poison yourself.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

have you met some of the 'special' people we share a planet with?... just sayin.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tried this with my res floor, we got all excited aaaaaaannnnnndddd it didn't work. Complete let down :(

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok store bought glow sticks don't cut it. Someone bring me some lophine, time to kick it old school like Walt.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Someone needs to test this out and post pictures of the result!

13 years ago | Likes 251 Dislikes 0

Me and my coworkers tried the bubble one, it didn't work for us.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The unstoppable bubble recipe was what-evs. Didn't work well.

13 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

We did it last summer a few times. It makes the solution glow but not the bubbles.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've tried it. It didn't work. But I didn't add any corn sirup or streght. Just glow sticks to bubble-water. Opening glow sticks is a mess.

13 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Did you break the internal thingy into the mix as well?

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I cut them open with scissors and tried to pour it in. Which wasn't easy to start with. But that worked...the rest didn't.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Phooey. And here I was all excited.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The instructions were probably unclear for you. You probably got your dick stuck in a glow stick.

13 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Well this might be a disappointment for you. But I don't have a dick.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

... At this moment.

+1 for your username

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

there you go.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got the glow stick stuff on my arms during a school dance and washed it off at home with a washcloth. 10 years later it still smells

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup, that stuff is stinky all right. Non-toxic stinky at least.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not to be the doubter but the solution for glow sticks is MEGA bad for skin so people be careful if you do this.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know what I'm doing next friday night!

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

EPIC! And the corn syrup bubbles are awesome. I made them for my kids a couple weekends ago :)

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

share this if you have "kids" haha

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hula hoop + baby pool = Big un-poppable glow in the dark bubbles. I am so excited for the possibilities.

13 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

YOUR A FUCKING BOSS imite try that

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, read this as 'hula hoop and baby poop' and was like, "that's going to leave stains".

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+ Helium to the mix!

13 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I just imagined a gigantic super strength glow bubble popping high up in the atmosphere and the resulting goo dumping on some poor soul.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because fuck nature.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just remember that you can't halve this recipe.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've tried both of these and neither worked.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mass UFO sightings in 3....2....1...

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You could also do it with a string tied in a loop.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you tried it? I mixed 4 dark red glowsticks in a small bottle of soap and the soap killed the glow stuff so it didn't work...

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

por qué no las dos

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

get bubble ready in hula hoop, stand in the baby pool, lift hoop above your head, drop it into the water. you are now in a freaking bubble!

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I read this as Poo and not pool, I was like WTF!?

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Be careful cutting them open. Wear gloves. The stuff inside is known to cause cancer.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am in love with this idea.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you do it, post results

13 years ago | Likes 192 Dislikes 0

When you do it...

13 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

They never did it...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What a shame...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh great, here come the flood of glowing bubbles. I cant wait!!!!

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Laundry detergent glows under blacklights, at Uni we would do a slip-n-slide blacklight party. Perhaps it could make better bubbles.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A significant amount of that glowy juice might ruin the solution, but best of luck!

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

just so you know that the glow stick shit is toxic so if it gets in your mouth or something you might get fucked. Be careful with littlekids

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well i know what im doing this weekend

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FYI, I tried the glow stick thing in bubble solution. Didn't work. But maybe that's just me.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tried it when we went camping and it didn't work for me either. Massive let down to a six year old.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Massive letdown for an 18 year old haha

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Massive letdown for a 34 yr old. I had talked it up the entire trip and I was pissed it didn't work. Bubbles are night aren't fun.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For reeeaaalll man

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know they make glow in the dark bubbles... pre-made.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If they are un-poppable, how do we get rid of them?

13 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

You simply accept your fate and hope you never accidentally take Acid while serving your new colorful bubble overlords.

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

We don't. They get rid of us.

13 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

Really? No comments about the Dirty Bubble?

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rover!

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's fucking terrifying

13 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Well, I do what I do and I do what I do.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Soviet Russia, bubbles pop you!

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Favourited so I can try this at home

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You'll surely deliver

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

;) leaving work in ten minutes. Promise I will try as soon as it's dark here

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't bother. It doesn't work.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know. I tried. I even submitted the pics to the gallery, which failed, coz no one cares when shit fails :)

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glow sticks aren't really toxic, but do try to keep it off of your skin. (important part) -------> AND WEAR GOGGLES.<------ (important part)

13 years ago | Likes 238 Dislikes 2

Glow sticks aren't toxic but the contents are though they'd have to get into your bloodstream to really hurt you.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FWIW the dangerous part of opening glow sticks are the glass shards ("cracking" a glow stick breaks open a glass vial inside the stick.)

13 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Wanted to post that, gj!

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

AND WEAR RATTY CLOTHES. Those stains will NOT remove themselves easily.

13 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I...once gnawed on one 'till it broke open and then smeared it all over my hands and the pavement, and then I didn't wash it off for hours.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

iPhone dog, is that you?

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

LOL sure seems like it, doesn't it? Nobody ever told me it was dangerous!

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One leaked on a desk of mine and after a few hours it had burned through the paint.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our class went on a trip and one night at a campire the teachers gave us glowsticks. Somebit them open and got it in their eyes.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*Importanter part.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I cut open glow sticks once and it exploded into my eyes and I had to spend all night in the ER with tubes going into my eyeballs.

13 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

I'm gonna call bullshit on this one. Not because I don't believe you; just because I want to sleep this night.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how is it that people come in contact with a random ass hazardous material and instantly put it in their eyes? but not normal shit like gas

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As soon as I punctured the glow stick it sprayed in every direction. Apparently, it was under pressure. I wasn't very careful as a teenager.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This happened to me too! When we were camping in the middle of nowhere....

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I totally would have called in Bear Grylls to pee in my eyes to flush the toxins. Totally.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got a tiny bit in my eye once, not as bad as once when someone fell over, took me with them and managed to spill poppers in my eyes! D:

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That happened to me too! but I never went to the ER. I turned out okay. I think...

13 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I don't know how you took the pain without fear of permanent blindness.I've had some major injuries and this is up there as far as pain goes

13 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I didn't get much in my eye, but I was too scared to tell my mom so I just flushed it out, heh. I'm scared of breaking them now. ;~;

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As the kid who ALWAYS smeared them on his hands... Why keep them off skin? They don't do anything.

13 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You now have cancer. Sorry.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not all glowsticks contain the same chemicals. One contains a mild irritant. Nothing serious, just might itch a bit.

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Huh... I never knew that. Thanks for the tip.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the clarification, I knew something wasn't right about opening glow sticks. I've been told not to before, but I forget why.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*forgot

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I remember reading something about blindness, but that was before.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

False, they contain a chemical once used in the Nazi death camps. However, simple physical contact with the liquid is not enough to kill.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... was it dihydrous monoxide? I heard if you inhale enough of that, it can kill you.

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Gonna need you to be more specific. What chemical? How is it toxic, and at what concentration?

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My apologies, Phenol is the chemical and it's produced as a byproduct of the two chemicals, it's actually what glows inside the glow stick..

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/3 the amounts created in glow sticks would have to be ingested for you to even get sick, physical contact would likely not have an...

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good science, sir, good science.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HELL NO! Don't even think about getting that glow stick shit in your eyes. That was the second most painful eye injury I ever received.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

what was your first?

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I was 5 I was climbing on a tractor tire and accidently pulled a full gas can down on my face. Gas in the eyes is a pretty intense pain

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ouch! worst pain on my eye, was when i was chopping jalapeno for my salsa and decided to scratch my eye cause it was itching, no a fun exp

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was bad, I was in the hospital for about 30 hours and have had deteriorating vision since then. I wouldn't recommend it lmao.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
