either a well-meaning idiot or a saboteur working for the opposition. Despite being 100% guilty of the assassination, thanks to the foibles of the legal system Luigi still has a chance to walk away from the criminal charges entirely, and we know he's not stupid enough to do anything to jeopardize his chances
