I mean, that's not how you win a medal anyway, so good on them. :) I'm glad there are good people in the world. Hope in humanity +2.

The orphan crushing machine demands blood!

“Maria still had her silver medal, but more importantly, she had made a massive difference in the life of a family and captured the imagination of a nation. Her act of generosity inspired thousands in Poland and beyond.

Sadly, Milosz passed away a year later. But the impact of Maria’s gesture didn’t fade. It had already created a ripple effect of goodwill, trust, and inspiration.” And Heartbreaking again.. baby was named Miloszek Malysa

The orphan crushing machine is about to crush an orphan until a millionaire stepped in and did something that us regular folk do all the time. Cared about someone else that isnt in their everyday orbit.

A millionaire? In which currency?

We simply need to siphon the fuel out of the orpgan crushing machine and reroute it into the billionare flattening machine. Its essentially a large hydraulic trash compactor that you place billionares/trash inside of and then let er' rip.

Ah, the old "half the story." Indeed, the child was in the US, where she came from her home in Poland to get the surgery. https://share.google/wIGFy1ANS2DZpf88q

Thanks for clarifying. I read another article that said she was raising money for a child in the US, without any of that context.

Sauce? Cuz that's kind ofnthe thing here lately

It certainly could be, if an infant had a problem like that in this country, 1 the doctors would quit trying because there isn't enough insurance, and 2 the bill would have been $400,000.

The story is from 5 years ago, and yes of course the child was in the US.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well the child might have been in the US, I haven't researched this enough yet lol

4 weeks ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

Jesus. She was a Polish child who had to come to the US to get the surgery. https://share.google/wIGFy1ANS2DZpf88q

If it makes you feel any better, Poland was the first place in the world to go all extremist christian on abortion rules in hospitals. It went... well if you're in the US you know how it went, because it went just as extremely badly, only many years sooner.

If only there was someone whose job it was to keep track of what kind of impact this stuff had when done in order to make sensible laws, but sadly that's no-one's job anymore, laws are soundbite tested only.
