My room is a mess. I’m not talking garbage and dirt or anything, but stuff rather. It has gotten to the point where i don’t know how to start, let alone finish, without getting overwhelmed and having a panic attack. I have a hard time de-cluttering because I’m unemployed and cant afford to re-buy something if I need it later. I don’t really own anything that isn’t useful either. I saw a post earlier about someone learning a useful trick to clean a messy room but no one in the comments could find that useful trick. Do you have any advice or helpful tools to clean a very messy room?

Useful trick, take EVERYTHING and move it into the hallway or into another room and start from a completely fresh slate

Start by making piles or stacks of similar items. Just so you’re able to see a divide between items. Then it may be easier to organize.

Clean off your bed. Put on clean sheets and make it. Go get paper banker boxes for the office store. They are cheap. Make several boxes 1/2

And label them by type. Start sorting into the boxes. Once it is full put a lid on it and start stacking them.
