Dying to know what Imgur thinks.

Hopefully not dying when I find out...

I've been making some lights out of old box cameras and cine cams. This was my first attempt, now my bedside light, fitted with a remote controlled bulb.

Then I made this one from an old cine cam, fitted with two led bulbs. Micro switches inside connect to the original dials on the side so the on/off button controls the main bulb and the shutter speed dial controls the lower bulb. I took apart the whole zoom mechanism so that the zoom bar on the side moves the bulb in and out, adjusting the throw of the beam, wide to spot. The original filters still fit of course, currently the yellow works nicely in the lounge.

Honestly, the wiring is much neater than this now.

Three led bulbs in this one, no switches so had to fit a discreet push button on the back.

I made this one for mum's Christmas present. The aperture lever on the side turns this one on and off.

If I had more time I'd have more to show you. I have a red box camera, more of the zoom cine cameras and a load more I'm slowly working on, but life gets in the way big time.

My cat died a few years back. I keep cute birds now, so have some 'I made this' Star Wars tax instead.
