No, that's the kind of thing you're supposed to share before somebody decides if they want to get involved. "My boyfriend died a year ago and I'm just now trying to date again" means "I never got closure from my last relationship and I'm a hot mess and are you really sure you want to get involved with somebody who is probably going to start crying when our hands accidentally brushed when we reached for our drinks at the same time."
