Ameche and Bellamy would reprise their roles for a cameo in Murphy's "Coming to America"
Admittedly, I saw "Coming to America" long before "Trading Places" (it didn't help that it came out when I was only 2), but both are classics of their era (or at least commercially successful).

Not just commercially successful. They're both fantastic movies & you shouldn't shy away from calling them classics for fear of film snobs.
