So I've recently listened to the whole series of this book on audible. Figured I would recomend it to my fellow imgurians.
What's it about?
Book 1 Follows Victory Company of the Legion. Who are the Legion? The Legion is the best fighting force in the galaxy, second to none, they are the 1% of the 1%. Victory Company finds themselves outnumbered surrounded and cut off from any hope of reinforcement or rescue and following the increasingly poor decisions of their Point Captain (A Point is an officer appointed by government, one who has not earned rank). But the Legion also has good leaders. Lt Wraith and Sergeant Chhun must lead the remants of Victory in a desperate battle against the odds to hold out until help can arrive.
General notes about the series, The Legion are badasses, they are the absolute Elite warriors trained and drilled to perfection. They live by a few simple rules: 1) KTF (Kill them first) 2) Always make them pay (bit harder to explain but generaly a Legionaire doesn't stop fighting until the enemy is dead). But just because they are the ultimate fighting force and killing machines they are not without character.
The Series increases in scope with each book, moving from the conflict on a single world to a galaxy spanning war.
Complaints.
Some Characters mostly non humans lack development.
Some Characters seem to get killed off as much because the author isn't sure how to tell more of their story. While others just sort of disappear from the plot altogether.
There are lots of plot lines that have been left unresolved / unexplained. However the author is working on a sequel series and a prequel series which may clear up much of this.
Overall its a great fun read / listen and is pretty entertaining!

The Galaxy is a dumpster fire.

My major complaint is one is the authors is really into right wing conspiracies and keeps going on rants about the deep state.
