"Habseligkeiten": the stuff you own and can carry around. Adult or child doesn't matter.

It's not that I don't want to learn these I just can't pronounce them without spending too much time

And very important: "Das bin ich nicht gewesen" - "That wasn't me". And most important: "Prost"

I have never used/heard "Weltschmerz, Luftmensch, Witzelsucht" in a conversation. Outdated I guess

Weltanschauung: just world view, there's no judging. Kummerspeck: less stress eating, more emotional overeating (lots of breakup ice cream)

i don't know why there aren't literal translations for some of these; "kummerspeck" is hilarious, literally meaning "grief-bacon"

Googling tausendsassa (only one I didn't know) I also found "Wunderwuzzi", hahahaha. I love the german language. SCHMETTERLING!

Luftmensch? That literally means "Air person"

Spitzenmäßige Wortkombinationen.

If english could stop hyphenating everything we could have nice words too.

I'm German and didn't knew half of these 1+

I was literally only missing Luftmensch and Witzelsucht.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah because they do not exist in the german langauge

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Witzelsucht actually does. It's a medical term. Luftmensch is Yiddish.

7:1(germany vs. brazil) no words can explain my happiness watching that match while being the only german in a bar full of brazilians :)

As an American, I say "Brazil!" every time a team goes up 7-1 in Rocket League, so that counts for something, right? :D
