"Pride," the elevation of oneself over God and everything else, is one of their seven deadly sins. It really doesn't apply to Pride Month, bc the way the word is used here is as opposed to Shame. Shame that's been thrust upon the Queer community, and anyone even adjacent to it, by this very same brand of "Christianity." I think these "Christians" could really use a break from that shame mindset themselves.

It's interesting that whoever made this sign zeroed in on the word "Pride" because the "pride" they are protesting is not the "pride" to which the Bible verse is referring. And by interesting, I mean stupid.
The verse is cautioning arrogance. Which is ironic because the sign is basically saying: "I know better than you." Or "im an arrogant prick."

Not to take away from your point bc I do think it's valid in the sense that the Christian interpretation of pride is focused on one's moral failing similarly to the ancient Greeks interpretation of hubris is exaggerated pride and arrogance to defy the gods. I'm aware it seems pedantic but my basis for making the distinction is that Greek culture believed and still believe in "philotimo" (love of honor) which is a selfless pride, duty and deep empathy for your family, community, guests etc.
