- "China PCR test orders soared before first confirmed COVID case.
Report on government contracts show surges in Wuhan-area purchases from May 2019. Purchases of PCR tests in China's Hubei Province surged months before the first official reports of a novel coronavirus case there, according to a report by Australia-based cybersecurity company Internet 2.0.

...Monthly procurement data shows a spike in orders in May, especially from CDC buyers and the People's Liberation Army.
"We believe the increased spending in May suggests this as the earliest start date for possible infection," the report said." - NikkieAsia (Paywall but other outlets have picked up)

- "This study found that patients with COVID-19 with severe disease during hospitalization had more postinfection symptoms and higher CAT scores.

We found that 1095 patients (45.0%) reported at least 1 symptom, and the most common symptoms were fatigue, sweating, chest tightness, anxiety, and myalgia. Older age, female gender, and severe disease were associated with higher risks of fatigue or more symptoms.

In total, 161 patients (6.6%) had CAT total scores of at least 10, for which the risk factors included severe disease during hospital stay or coexisting cerebrovascular diseases. Taken together, our study found that patients with severe disease had increased risks of more symptoms and higher CAT scores at 1-year follow-up." -Jama Network

- "Despite having the highest vaccination rates in the country, there are constant reminders for most New England states of just how vicious the delta variant of COVID-19 is.

Hospitals across the region are seeing full intensive care units and staff shortages are starting to affect care. Public officials are pleading with the unvaccinated to get the shots. Health care workers are coping with pent-up demand for other kinds of care that had been delayed by the pandemic." -AP News

- "Doctors grow frustrated over COVID-19 denial, misinformation.

The Associated Press asked six doctors from across the country to describe the types of misinformation and denial they see on a daily basis and how they respond to it.

They describe being aggravated at the constant requests to be prescribed the veterinary parasite drug Ivermectin, with patients lashing out at doctors when they are told that it’s not a safe coronavirus treatment. People routinely cite falsehoods spread on social media, like an Illinois doctor who has people tell him that microchips are embedded in vaccines as part of a ploy to take over people’s DNA." - AP News

The prevalence of neuropsychiatric symptoms between 3 and 5 months following the first SARS-CoV-2 positive test was similar to that observed in the period prior to infection. However, further studies are needed to substantiate these results further.

I cannot thank those who have supported me enough in this, I really do appreciate it.

For now, I've decided to update this caution tab with any current situations which warrant extra scrutiny.

*Low rates of vaccination are causing highly-infectious variants to spread at a fast rate (Delta strain.)

*The number of infected individuals in the U.S continues to climb.

*Covid strains that could evade vaccines (Lambda, Mu, Potential), as low vaccination rates are causing numbers to surge worldwide.

*Vaccination mandates causing worker shortages.

*The new government in Afghanistan installed by the Taliban.

*Supply-chain issues continuing to compound.

*Current tensions over Taiwan.

*The oncoming winter season which generally has more people getting sick.

My only advice for making surveys is: "other/does not apply/do not know" is necessary on more questions than you think =)

That's a very good point; always have an 'out' option. Thank you!

Not surprised by the China bombshell, but still Holy Shit! Just further undermines their 5,800 deaths number

Hi there, good stuff as always. Two pieces of news to add: 1. Mulnupiravir, a new covid med, should greatly reduce deaths.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

That’s promising!

2. A major study showing ivermectin effective against covid was found to be totally fabricated. Fake news kills.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I should add there is reliable research to show that ivermectin has an effect against covid.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh interesting; thank you for the links!

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Oh god. I meant to say there is NO research to show ivermectin works, augh!
