#23 according to at least one unconfirmed urban legend, the guy who invented Dr. Pepper named it after his girlfriend's dad in an attempt to help win his approval.

Rumor has that said girlfriend and her dad lived about 30 miles from where I live in a little town named Rural Retreat, Va. I also heard that a man named Forrest drank about 15 or 16 at the White House one time.

He wears his stupid hat all the time now as he probably doesn't have enough hair in the scalp to hair ratio to provide enough coverage.

#12 they're never buying one ticket. They have like 5 to redeem, then they're buying multiple different scratchoffs and also a pick 4.

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And they are always buying something else, a 6 pack or whatever, and the cashier rings that up and gives them a total, and now they start listing off all the tickets they want. You know they came for the tickets, why do they wait till the end to start figuring out which scratchers they are wasting their money on today?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also they are getting the last 3 months of tickets checked ($500 spent to win $27.50)

#33 I don't get it

The suggestion is that making a noise in a public place is war crime and worthy of being tried at the international criminal court. I didn't get it either.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Oh, down votes with no corrections, evidently I got it so wrong people were left speechless.

That's usually me so I appreciate you taking one for the team here.

The Hague hosts the International Criminal Court, which is responsible, among other things, for the trial of war crimes.

#7 Pretty obvious why imo

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It sounds purple to me

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup; “verdant”

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Extremely obvious. Because in tonnes of latin based languages the word for green starts Ver, 'Verde' in Spanish, 'Vert' in French, etc. It really goes to show that our curiousity is eroding that the person from this post never thought to ask someone or even just search the web for it...

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But in Portuguese vermelho is red

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was going for the least common denominator logic, i.e. "milllion" as in dollars. But yeah, ver- prefix and all that too

#18 I wish they chose a better example. Looking qt someone is communicating, if you meant it or not. If you accidentally stare, doing a quick smile is just reassuring. They aren't mind readers, they can't assume you weren't communicating.

#10 The history of vanilla proves that it is quite the opposite of plain and boring. It (and other spices) were so desired, valued, and important that it created new trade routes and markets, and fed trade on a global scale. It is rare, and difficult to cultivate. It took dangerous trip months or years to transport from its source. It is precious - wars have been fought and people have died for it. It made generations of people very wealthy. She should take that name with the highest of honors.

Preach

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, but it's now the most common & widespread flavor. The default, if you will.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People are always appalled when I say Vanilla is my favorite flavor. When I was a kid Vanilla Ice cream wasn't even White it was yellow and was completely different than plain white creme ice cream. And I loved it, still do although I do feel like the flavor has changed.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Blue Bell had (and probably still does, I don't buy ice cream at the store often) a vanilla bean flavor that was a much stronger vanilla flavor, and was yellow as well. I could eat the entire tub in one go if no one stopped me. It's hard to beat a good vanilla flavor.

This guy and Nigel Thornberry in a heated discussion

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is the finest of the flavors.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right? And the thing about calling something vanilla: how many people actually dislike vanilla? Like with ice cream, you may like rocky road or mint chocolate chip or what-have-you more... But you still enjoy vanilla.

This extends to sex. You may like doggy style or cowgirl or a standing inverted-diamond-monkey-style, but you're still gonna enjoy missionary.

1 year ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I don't get the hate for missionary. It's the most intimate position since you're face to face. For me it also feels the best. Second best is when she is sitting on top like a frog going up and down at the perfect angle. Third best is any position where I can also get a titty in my mouth.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the thing, does anyone actually hate missionary?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't really enjoy missionary, but then again I don't really enjoy any position. Probably I'm broken.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

...have you considered if you might be somewhere on the asexual spectrum?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm fully aware of that, yes.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe try a more traditional missionary position where you attempt to convert them to your chosen religion?

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Done that too, it's by far the thing I most regret.
