#11 I'm against urban fruit trees because it's just a really bad idea. Not that people will eat the fruit, the opposite is what happens so you end up with rotten fruit and lots of rats. Or they pick unripe fruit and leave them in the path. My problem though, is that urban areas are full of toxic air and soil, which get sucked into the plant and make a toxic soup. Bio/phyto/myco-remediation should happen long before foods. Clean first, then plant. Also, tires release most of our microplastics.

If the public trees were planted in a public space, for the public? I'm not a genius or anything, but it seems like the fruit on the trees would be for the public too.

It's theft unless explicitly permitted by the local authorities. I'm not sure where this idea emerges from that stuff in public space is for anyone to take.
