I'm not knocking those who enjoy or benefit from it
I just dont think it is a great game. Only things you can do is wander around, catch pokemon (not fight them), and then fight gyms. It just feels like it is too shallow of a game. If you could level up your pokemon other than through capturing more of the same type and 'sacrificing' them and fighting other players directly, maybe ill get into it.
That being said, it has re-invigorated my interest in the series and I just bought Omega Ruby when the last version I had was Gold and Silver.
I know im in the minority here but it is my honest opinion and im glad to see it is making a difference in peoples lives. Those who fight depression and the game makes everything exciting to go out again. Those who are exercising who have been meaning to get off the couch. Those who are meeting people with a common interest and making friends. I find all of these great for the game. Just not my cup of tea
