Yeah. On a realistic map it would have been even more obvious how dumb his diplomacy towards the few remaining green countries was. Like sure, threaten the few real allies you have with invasion, that's a plan.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, almost all of Europe, defeinately all of Eastern Europe hated us. We were barely accepted by Australia, UK and Canada- scorned but barely tolerated by taly and France, and African and South American countries put up with us if we gave them aide.
Considering the damage that we did to a large part of the world? The first map is wrong. Before pedolf, the world just tolerated us. Now we are intolerable. Only Israel likes us. And by that I mean, we are very useful idiots, because they also hate us and have zero problem showing it.
No one's saying that, but America wasn't as viscerally hated as they are now. I get that you probably hate America for other reasons, but plenty of people liked us before Trump. I have friends in SEA, Europe, and AUS who all thought of our country as more-or-less okay. They don't think that anymore.
America was viscerally hated in Australia, much more in the past. Peak America hate, in both Australia and New Zealand is the 1940's and 1970's. We hated you quite viscerally in the 90s too, but not as much. The hate now is more than the 90s granted. But it's been a long long time since the NZ government has had to cover up their soldiers killing US soldiers in huge riots, because they were just generally cunts. 1940s was also peak US love, but then we met you in person

America was China's Number 1 trading partner. Was China playing the game to make China better compared to everyone else? Sure. Same time, it's not China's fault US Billionaires were playing the game to make the US shittier and outsource everything to China. They just played the hand they were dealt.
They have a point nonetheless. For all their flaws China would not be able to do the things it did and become the economic power it is today if he people that run our businesses weren't intentionally doing things in a way that benefited them personally in the short run and china in the long run.
Yes, you could probably list a whole bunch of countries that dislike the US more before you get to China. Lumping it together with Iran and Russia is laughable, seeing that the American presence is huge and obvious, in many ways even more so than in European countries. In China people drive Buick for crying out loud!
Fucking hell. This is one of the reasons why 1. Lots of countries have hated America for years and 2. Why you will probably never recover from Trump: your absolute conviction that you were the good guys, and a total lack of introspection as a nation.
You think Trump is the problem? He is the symptom for what has been fundamentally broken about america for decades. America is rightly hated and feared around the world as a colonial oppressor and has been for years.
If you think the lack of introspection as a nation is frustrating from the outside, try experiencing it from the inside. Generally intelligent and reasonable people I know have had their brains so thoroughly washed that the genuinely believe that Democrats are the goods guys and Trump dying will fix everything. They can't even imagine what peaceful democracy looks like- and they're the good ones!
Is it really being brainwashed or people just trying to convince themselves to have any sort of hope for the future at all? I mean if you acknowledge the fact that America is a lost cause at this point and as increasingly shitty as life for almost everyone here is now, early 2026 will be the best things will be during most of our entire lifetimes, it's going to drive a whole bunch more people merely depressed about everything to suicidal. False hope is keeping so many people alive right now.
Yes. That's sort of how conditioning works. You get a person so empty they'll latch onto anything. There is a good path forward, but it requires facing some uncomfortable truths. False hope isn't keeping them alive, it's keeping them complicit.
Good lord is there a lot of red missing from that top one. Y'all Libs REALLY think countries America fucked up in South America, Asia, and Africa really really like us deep down while Biden, Obama, or Clinton were POTUS? Seriously? America was always one of the baddies. Are you all really that bind to brown people blood spilled by America? @OP, please, PLEASE read some fucking books. This shit is embarrassing.
You definitely missed one. The two halves of the country openly hate the other one, and like 80% of the country hates the government (that many of that 80% voted for).
Wow. That top map is bullshit. Seriously, no one outside of Europe likes "America." For many very very very good reasons. As to the people, the whole of central america, vast tracts of Africa, so. many. islands. Oh and (the government of) Australia, but they're trying to become the US as quickly as possible for reasons ("Conservatives and the libs who enable them, like everywhere"). We've been sticking our dick in everything for 81 years. Everyone's tired of it Trump is just a scab.
This really overestimates how we felt about the Americans before Trump. The Americans have been screwing over everyone for decades. We noticed their rampant murder and theft on a global scale before 2016.
I'm American and I noticed how overly green the first map was. I think most people live in some weird bubble where they constantly believe the past was some fairytale paradise. They think 50's TV was real and not just the only programming that the white christians would allow on tv.
You have been largely hated globally since WW2. Hated by your Allies before you landed anywhere to make enemies after leaving isolationism. Obama made you more likeable, but you were an international pariah BEFORE Obama... If the US was the most unpopular kid at school, constantly screaming and chest beating, stealing, pinching "friends" in the face etc, Obama is just the day his mum made him share a packet of gummi bears. That's the amount "more likeable" Obama made you
I mean, there was more than enough movies about Vietnam for people to understand. I recommend reading The Short-Timers, Kubrick has failed to convey the horror.
Dude, New Zealand almost started a war against the US during world war 2, because you were ignorant, racist, arrogant, cunts. The war that brought you out of isolationism, the one where you "saved the world", is also the one where your allies met you. You haven't been much liked since. You literally tried to overthrow the French government in the same year you helped liberate them from the Nazis, just because you didn't like de Gaulle.
Australia wasn't happy about the US overthrowing it's government in 1975 either. But that entire map needs to start going red in 1940... And I'd be making allied Commonwealth countries be red before Germany or Japan. Because Australians, kiwis, and Brits got to meet you before the Germans did, and the German government did have to cover up your troops getting murdered for being racist cunts
also almost all muslim countries felt with the muslim countries that got repeatedly screwed by the american lust for oil...plus they all hate israel...
Nicaragua (Iran-Contra), Honduras and Ecuador (Banana Republics), to add to the pile. Every country that borders Israel that Israel has been fucking with - Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon - probably aren't happy. Yemen's getting bombed by the Saudis, who we back, so them too. List is still definitely way too short.
And that's missing a lot in South and Latin America
Cuba is a lot in the news recently, but many forget that their situation is largely because of the US. Batista was backed by the US and the US enjoyed exploring the island under his dictatorship. And since the Castro revolution the US has tried various ways to get control back and keep the island in poverty
what is it, like 16 admitted, 25 ish more or less indisputable and a speculated potentially 50 regime changes sponsored, supported or straight up done by america
You will not have free and fair elections if you let things like the SAVE act pass. They are dismentaling your voting infrastructure since he took office, small things like expedition date being changed at the postal office for letters to change from pickup to when a letter hits the sorting machine, making mail in voting unreliable, having fewer and understaffed polling places etc. It was all spelled out to you in project 2025 and majority of people ignored the warning.
Are you sure? I keep hearing for a year now that his polling numbers are the worst. It's been 37 or 36% every time I heard them since around this time last year. So it is safe to say he could shoot 36% of the country in the face and if they lived, they'd still vote for him or whatever sycophant he endorses.
If Illinois serves as a litmus test, then it is doubtful. I do still recommend people vote, but it seems very likely that America is going to have rigged elections, either by the hand of Trump or some financial power that sees him and his ilk as a benefit.
There were elections recently, according AIPAC, all candidates that were not financially supported by them had lost and they lauded this fact on social media.
Well, if WW2 is any guide, most will do nothing. Elie Weisel warned people about neutrality and its dangers in hoisting up oppressive regimes, yet many still believe that if they keep their heads down, they might somehow be among those who are able to weather the storm. Some may do something, but the vast majority are afraid and will do nothing.
I'm not arguing that people didn't vote for him --- way too many did. But I do suspect he wouldn't have been elected if it wasn't for the interference. The admission came right out of both horses' mouths, after all.
Elections and run by the States. Trump only controls the Federal system. He has no way to actually affect the Mid-terms without massive reforms that would require Democratic support, as well as State supports. It won't happen, they aren't skilled enough to actually pull that kind of move off.
Yes, unlike everything else going on, Trump and the Republicans will perfectly obey laws and established conventions for the election and it will be fair.
The elections are run by the states. And they have all the power to choose how they wish to run them, and when, and in what form. So if they really wanted to, they could change how they do their vote and totally scuttle their schemes.
It took your courts 1 year to rule the tarriffs as void, with the way things are going, he will probably declare marshall law due to the conflict he created/market crash. The us let him get away with literral crime, he faced 0 consequence for his fraud case, 0 consequence for rape/defamation, 0 consequence for mishandling top secret files, 0 consequence for pedophilia allegations. First term laid the groundwork and now they are hard executing on fascism, SAVE act passrs its over...
and to add to my other reply from a different, even more important angle, this is talking about the future voting, and how trump has caused enough backlash that people will vote the other way, except, the states that can turn from red to blue, by definition are currently red, and those anti-democratic traitors are doing everything they can to fix the election to keep them red before voting even happens
Trump started a war after running on a no more wars in the Middle East platform. In an election year, he lost a lot of his supporters because of that. And the Isolationist faction of the Republican voters make up about 10% of their voter base. And he basically just lost them all. And they lost a lot of the Law and Order faction with how ICE was operating, and the sheer brutality of it. As many approved of the deportations, but they wanted it done by the book.
trump doesnt have the power to do a lot of what hes doing. who the fuck is going to stop him from taking over the election? he pushes and EO? most if not all red states will obey. i know mine will. they handed hom our data and are making it illegal to criticize israel. GOP doesnt care whats legal and many dems (corpos) are not going to do anything.
the reds are only there to make it seem valid. last time he didnt do a quarter of what hes planning now and he still almost stole it. im very confident we will see ICE at the polls, ballots seized, last minute voter purges, IDs and passports being invalidated, a donor bought one of the voter machine companies, why not toss in fake electors again? he also didnt leave peacefully last time, why do you think he will let the midterms go by peacefully when he has even less people to stop him.
And if States want to, they can change that. They could go back to paper ballots only. Hell if they wanted they could go back to public ballots. Because the states have full control over how elections are operated and in what form.
He doesn't, but the states sure do, and they are the ones running the elections. And a surprising number of Red states have Democratic Governors as well. And even a few Solid Red states have ignored his demands to mess with their districts. He controls the Federal Government, but hasn't been able to pull the same shit on the state level.
That doesn't solve the problem. As I said, at some point, if they outright refuse, they must be arrested and removed. Who is going to do that? The enforcers are complicit.
you're missing several points there bub save act could potentially remove how many female voters? they're also pretty blatantly planning on manufacturing a reason to have some type of force (I imagine ICE agents) at the polls as well, voter intimidation is a thing there are more, but these are the two that I can think about in a blink of an eye, both are federal enforced that affect state elections without state approval
Save Act is unlikely to actually pass. As it's getting resistance even within the Republican Party itself. Also, it wouldn't hold up in court, because it impedes too many enshrined freedoms. In other words the only way they could actually pass that kind of restriction is with a new constitutional Amendment. And that's just not going to happen. Yes intimidation is a thing, but ICE would be a terrible option, because they are losing support even within the GOP voter base.
but my point still stands, there are still things that they can do and are trying to push through to affect the elections, if the save act dies, they'll try something else, and the courts have been oh so good at enforcing things.. and again, my other point stands firmer, the red states are doing what they can to dig themselves in

DevilsAdvocat
and to add to my other reply from a different, even more important angle, this is talking about the future voting, and how trump has caused enough backlash that people will vote the other way, except, the states that can turn from red to blue, by definition are currently red, and those anti-democratic traitors are doing everything they can to fix the election to keep them red before voting even happens
AGrammeIsBetterThanADamn
Bro, that's a checklist 3 items long
originaljbw
Ive heard that last line about 4 times now, but somehow it keeps happening.
All it takes is 15-20 bootlicker governors, and there are likely that many.
Targe0
Trump has control of the Federal level, but every time he has run into State power issues, he's failed.
ricpaul
Trump is dumber than a bag of rocks, but I stand in awe of how much of the country he manages to destroy despite his sub 90 IQ.

This is the most optimistic comment I’ve seen on the internet today. I think I’ll log off now and revel in it, even though I think it’s very naive.

But I Want to Believe!

I love the idea of MAGA’s hubris and ignorance triggering a blue wave. We shall see!
Targe0
Trump started a war after running on a no more wars in the Middle East platform.
In an election year, he lost a lot of his supporters because of that. And the Isolationist faction of the Republican voters make up about 10% of their voter base. And he basically just lost them all. And they lost a lot of the Law and Order faction with how ICE was operating, and the sheer brutality of it. As many approved of the deportations, but they wanted it done by the book.
ProjectDA
trump doesnt have the power to do a lot of what hes doing. who the fuck is going to stop him from taking over the election? he pushes and EO? most if not all red states will obey. i know mine will. they handed hom our data and are making it illegal to criticize israel. GOP doesnt care whats legal and many dems (corpos) are not going to do anything.
Targe0
And to actually pull it off, it would require a Super majority of States to sign off on it.
And there aren't that many Red states.
ProjectDA
the reds are only there to make it seem valid. last time he didnt do a quarter of what hes planning now and he still almost stole it. im very confident we will see ICE at the polls, ballots seized, last minute voter purges, IDs and passports being invalidated, a donor bought one of the voter machine companies, why not toss in fake electors again? he also didnt leave peacefully last time, why do you think he will let the midterms go by peacefully when he has even less people to stop him.
Perolith
IIRC most of the companies that produce the voting machines for the US (and canada) are/have been bought up by hyper-rich trump allies.
Pikkupanda
Which is why they want to eliminate mail in voting.
Targe0
And if States want to, they can change that.
They could go back to paper ballots only.
Hell if they wanted they could go back to public ballots.
Because the states have full control over how elections are operated and in what form.
rumandbass
You say that like he gives a fuck about laws. He breaks the law daily and sees no consequences.
Targe0
He doesn't, but the states sure do, and they are the ones running the elections. And a surprising number of Red states have Democratic Governors as well. And even a few Solid Red states have ignored his demands to mess with their districts. He controls the Federal Government, but hasn't been able to pull the same shit on the state level.
rumandbass
Here's hoping.
GeneralAnubis
If they refuse to leave their seats, that requires someone with enough of a spine to remove them by force. I don't know if that'll happen.
Targe0
The Courts would side against them.
Because there's no way they can even try to legally justify it.
Plus the courts are over the Regimes shit as well.
BrdCdn
With what army will the courts enforce their decisions?
GeneralAnubis
That doesn't solve the problem. As I said, at some point, if they outright refuse, they must be arrested and removed. Who is going to do that? The enforcers are complicit.
DevilsAdvocat
you're missing several points there bub
save act could potentially remove how many female voters?
they're also pretty blatantly planning on manufacturing a reason to have some type of force (I imagine ICE agents) at the polls as well, voter intimidation is a thing
there are more, but these are the two that I can think about in a blink of an eye, both are federal enforced that affect state elections without state approval
Targe0
Save Act is unlikely to actually pass.
As it's getting resistance even within the Republican Party itself. Also, it wouldn't hold up in court, because it impedes too many enshrined freedoms.
In other words the only way they could actually pass that kind of restriction is with a new constitutional Amendment. And that's just not going to happen.
Yes intimidation is a thing, but ICE would be a terrible option, because they are losing support even within the GOP voter base.
DevilsAdvocat
but my point still stands, there are still things that they can do and are trying to push through to affect the elections, if the save act dies, they'll try something else, and the courts have been oh so good at enforcing things.. and again, my other point stands firmer, the red states are doing what they can to dig themselves in
