I did a thing!

Got this Switch lite a while ago from a relative for $60 bucks! It had a bad paint job but everything works. It's been sitting since i have no games atm but i had a little extra cash and decided to clean it up.

Here's the replacement housing. i got it from amazon. It's the atomic purple. i had the n64 with the same color growing up. also purple is my fav color so why not!

Inside was still pretty clean. I got Arctic Silver 5 to replace that old thermal paste.

Battery looks solid. No swelling or corrosion. Not sure how old this Switch is. Paint on the triggers as well.

Water damage indicator looks good. Everything looking solid.

Fan was a little dusty so i got my air can and brush and dusted it good.

Here's the game cartridge reader, also dusted and brushed inside of this of well.

SD card slot and right speaker. Looking solid.

I kind got in the zone during the tear down and forgot to continue taking pictures. Here's a shot when i stopped for a break. Please ignore the crude screw chart.

Here she is! I decided to change out the buttons as well since i couldn't get the paint off them. I also decided to replace the joysticks to avoid any future drifting since i had it apart anyway.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. I took my time to make sure there was no issues and also tested everything before fully assembling. Still need games but it feels really good doing this. Have to say i'm proud of myself. :)
