When I was announcing derby I liked announcing men's games a lot. They are less fun/sexy than women's bouts but the men are so much faster I always have something to say. Something is always happening on the train with men's bouts.
I don't mean to trashtalk your sport, but the amount of allowed contact is minimal, and the safety is real. Which is good, it's not a combat sport after all. But many players tend to talk like it was some kind of brawl or fight... which it really isn't. Like basically you're allowed to bodycheck, but not against head, neck, back, ass, knees or anything below. No punches, no kicks, no grabbing, no throws of course, not even actual shoving using hands.
