Bob Ross - Squirrel Friend
Since I was a little kid, I've enjoyed Bob Ross's "Joy of Painting" series; partly for the art, but mainly because of what a nice and calm person Bob Ross was.
I would enjoy the way that within thirty-seconds this man could conjure an entire forest with only a few strokes of a brush. However, I've never had any kind of artistic talent and despite the gentle hints that "anyone can paint", I never gave it a try. This is largely due to the fact that I've dealt with life-long depression and it is very rare that I stick with any hobbies.
A world of beauty at your fingertips
Fast-forward to a few months ago when my parents got me the "Bob Ross Master Paint Set" as I had been talking about how much I've recently been enjoying watching old episodes online.
Like many hobby-starter-kits I've either received or purchased, this one sat on a shelf and was forgotten...
Until this week, that is. I had finally decided to try psychiatric medication to help with my depression and I seem to have found a good cocktail for once.
I noticed the box sitting on a shelf and decided to finally give it a try.
I am quite proud of my happy little clouds
After three hours of pausing, re-winding, and re-watching the twenty-minute episode a number of times I sat back and got to see a project finally comes to fruition.
I'm quite happy with how this turned out, even if I can't help critique a number of things...
Edit: Thanks for all the kind words, imgur, the encouragement really helps a lot!
