Went to the beach with friends, had a great time, and got up the courage to ditch the swim-skirt in favor of just a bikini. Felt awesome!

But I must have missed the backs of my arms while rushing to get sunscreen on and managed to give 'em a good roasting. Feels decidedly less awesome.

I remembered to put sunscreen on everything I needed to, then walked down to the beach only to take off my shoes and socks and ... yeah, you guessed it ... ow

Trying to live up to your name, DocTanner?

1 month ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Not intentionally! I wear SPF 70 and actively avoid getting a tan when possible. I think they're bad for the skin.

Pics or it didn’t happen?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

There *are* pics, but you can't have them. 😎

Sing Rock Lobster as a diversion. Nobody will notice the burn.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well, that *would* give me something to be more self-concious about than the bikini...

Sunburns suck, but they heal. The important thing is that you had a great time! For my part, I'm not sure I'll ever work up the courage to dump the swim skirt for a bikini.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I certainly didn't intend to! The bikini bottoms were just for... erm... "stowage". But once I was there, and saw plenty of other bikinis around, I just kinda said "fuck it". I didn't want to deal with the wet skirt all day, and I figured nobody would be able to see much once I was in the water anyway. After that, when nobody feinted in horror, I got a lot more comfortable. :D

Remember @OP always reapply sunscreen every 4 hours.
And always reapply it after you get out of the water.
Even if you have the water-resistant stuff.

I wasn't even _there_ for four hours. Just failed to get the back of my arms in my haste and in the wind, apparently. :(

Ah, the 'ol missed a spot.
Yeah, there's not much to be done about that but trying to not miss it next time.

Aloe. Lots, and lots of aloe

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Speaking as a former medic, lotion isn't necessarily great for it. Can sooth discomfort, but impede healing. (At least that's how I was trained.) I only use aloe if I'm particularly uncomfortable.

At least you hit that line below your butt-cheeks. Burning that means you can't sit down.

I am Caucasian. Very. Went swimming in Hawaii. Lathered everything I could reach with SPF 60.

Not the band between mid back, and just below the back of the neck. Couldn't reach that. In the sun for an hour. Got burnt.

I looked like a Radish.

Yeaaaah. I've been to the Caribbean a few times. I always wear SPF 70, and use the spray stuff because I (usually) can get everywhere reliably. Apparently not this time, though.

Just slather on the melted butter. Nothing hotter than butter drenched lobster.

I never got the appeal of tanning. It might look nice on young skin, but it ages you quickly, and one of the big reasons I look younger than I am is because I've been religious about sunscreen.

I took a different route and hid inside like a Morlock, but it also worked.

The kiss of the sun can be greatly desired.
But the future growths it can cause are greatly feared.

1 month ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Do hope it wasn't too bad and it heals quickly. At least you did use sun screen.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

have you tried putting aloe with lidocaine on it?

You're living the life I wanna live :O

Hey, now you know @OP and will remember for the next time, right?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I remembered _this_ time, too. (I'm super diligent about sunscreen.) I was just in a rush and it was super windy.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Woo victory!!!

Sorry about the burn.

If you don't have a friend wth you to apply sunscreen on all your areas, a dollar-store hand duster will do the trick:

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I swear by spray sunscreen. I never need help and I _almost_ never miss a spot. I think I just didn't account for the wind this time.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oblig....pics or it didn't happen. Yw.

Already been said. Didn't need saying twice.

I wore a women's bathing suit in public for the first time yesterday, and managed to accidentally flash a bunch of people. I fell down on the surfing machine and my tiddies popped out.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh no! But, congratulations on the milestone!

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought it was funny. I haven't internalized the idea that I'm supposed to be self conscious about that.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think I know what you mean. I'm not really self-conscious about my new boobs. It wouldn't bother me to have people see them. I'd have gladly gone swimming topless if it was socially acceptable. I just know that it bothers other people.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I put my top back on so I didnt get in trouble or have people get upset with me, but I don't have any like instinctive feelings about it.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if this is part of why so many trans-femme folks do porn. We don't have the same shame-based training that cis girls get. Plus, we actually feel attractive for the first time ever. Like... if I didn't mind being seen mostly naked before, why would I care now?

I know I definitely dress more revealingly than my wife does. (Even though she's definitely still way hotter than me.)

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Question for my fellow trans girlies: what are we supposed to use to tuck while swimming? Are we not meant to? Sports tape gets too loose, a gaff is too obvious, and I don't trust anyone who suggests wearing a cage to have gone outside in form fitting clothes...

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got a bathing suit with a pretty significant skirt built in

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do you care about strangers opinions on the internet about your body is the bigger question. Weird.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 21

OP does care, and took a risk. You belittled them. That is sucky behavior which suggests you are a sucky person.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This person speaks of the truth.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why do you care about what others do that has fuck all to do with you? Are you a bit daft?

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Thats what im asking?! Thanks for essentially reiterating what I said in another format. Lol daft. Look at you.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

Have you considered to not be a daft twit? Or is that an impossible thing for you?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Have considered even realizing what you said in your first comment being the same thing i asked. Ironic, calling me daft. Go look in a mirror. I bet you’ll see a daft cunt looking back at you.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

"Have considered even realizing"? ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT? In reality, this is about someone who did something uncomfortable and is proud of it and you're shitting on them like the daft twit you are. You're even so daft that you don't get that I was asking YOU why you care which is not the same as asking the OP... I don't think a mirror will help you as you could never figure out how it works.
