Ode to Wilfred Owen

Wilfred Owen was a poet and a soldier that served in World War 1. A beautiful soul that spoke and wrote truth. A homosexual for what it is worth, I suppose the worth of that is to understand his death...
At the end of the war, one week before the armistice was signed, Owen was sent to the front lines where he was shot and killed. Not a move befitting a talent like Wilfred Owen, but a move to strike off any friendly soldiers that might have spoken out about the atrocities of the war. I suppose they didn't want any homosexuals to become strong male role models, especially in a time when Britain needed to produce another generation to fight another bloody and awful war two decades later.

This is my song, it is an Ode to Wilfred Owen's life. It depicts two men in the trenches, struggling through battle while trying to love each other (in a similar way that Wilfred might have loved Sassoon).
